Anil, 28 Mar 2010Dear Usman, if I select a photo as caller ID then PC Studio... moreYes. PC Studio shows error that phone explorer can not be opened. We can add caller ID manually within PC Studio which shows option to add images from ur PC harddisk.
Unfortunately there is not any such application. I am using two PC based softwares with my C5212 mobile to save text messages on memory card or on PC. One is Samsung New PC Studio and second one is Mobiledit 4. The Mobiledit can save SMS as .MED file format or as a .txt file with date n time n sender details.

hi i bought tis product n quite good and i need to record the call converstion but i could not see any option for recording while engaged in call,i tried the option given before by our friends,but when i go for menu no voice recording option occurs,is there any alternatives means kindly tell guys...thanks

Aman, 23 Mar 2010How i can take backup of my phonebook in new samsung pc stu... moreI had similar problem with my C5212 mobile and Samsung New PC Studio. I then did clean installation of Windows XP SP3 then again installed Samsung New PC Studio. Now the problem has been resolved. U can save complete phonebook of SIM and phone memory separately as a .NPF file or as a .CSV file format. U can save text messages (inbox, outbox, drafts, sentbox, my folder) as a .NEF file format. I am continueously making backups of all text messages after every 6 or 7 days because my mobile's sms memory (200 max.) becomes full after every 6 or 7 days !!!

How i can take backup of my phonebook in new samsung pc studio.. Coz i have made several attempts but not able to do so..» whenever m goes to option export to pc than it shows select location to save.. But after that there is no option to save it. Anyone can help.

Pretty good experience of my first Dual SIM Phone. Was in delima after lookinh at Micromaxx, videocon and Intex. But I think Samsung is THE Best, very user friendly in terms of double SIM handling and usage. Pretty fast and good features. My suggestion, if you are looking for dual SIM could spend fair enough amount.. then Go for samsung. i bought it for 4700 INR and have put in 4 gb card.. device is perfectly working..

Decent phone.
Important things:
(i). You can receive calls on either sim. Both are active.
(ii) When you make/receive calls the software shows which sim is being used.
(iii). There's a default sim which is used to make phone calls. But if you'd like to use the other sim - * go to contacts * , then press the change sim button on the right hand of the mobile. Voila - the other sim is selected. This is the tricky part to figure out at first as you can't select sims unless you go to contacts and then press the button !!
It reboots if you change the default sim in the 'sim selection manager' - although one doesn't need to use this option often due to (iii) above.

Roland, 18 Mar 2010Yes Cucci, it is possible to use mp3 as sms tone. just go t... moreTo select an mp3 ringtone, if the mp3 track is on your CARD (MUSIC FOLDER), you can set it as ringtone for Caller ringtone for Sim1 or 2 or even as message alert for sim1 or 2 as below:
Settings - phone profiles - normal - options - edit - Voice call ringtone (separately for sim1 or 2) or New message for sim1 or 2 - Voice call ringtone - select Music - options - more - select options - 2. more.
Now open your external card - music. Your mp3 files will be listed for you to select the tune you want.
You can even select individual mp3 files for every single contact as below:
Edit contact - ringtone - 3 music - options - 2 more - card - music.
Voila - there you have all the ringtone settings. I wish Samsung had given all this in the manual. Difficult for Nokia - Ericsson users to handle but otherwise a superb phone - used it now for almost a month.
