want to confirm that if i have received an incoming call on sim -1, if anybody calling me on the sim -2 will i be able to receive the second Call,

Hi I am planning to go for this phone. I have one Sim used exclusively for calling & another exclusively for SMS. Can I use this way(say message & receive call if i get any)without switching on/off? I read many reviews in this forum however did not see regarding messaging & most queries were related to calls. with around an hour of talking & around 50 SMS can anyone here estimate how long the battery would last :)?

using latest pc suite.
i was told that there are settings for this mobile.
how can you help me.

please help meInstallation of JAVA games/ softwares on Samsung C5212 is really simple and straightforward. Unlike many Samsung mobiles, you just need to place JAR and JAD files in the SAME folder of your mobile ( Other files folder of internal memory or in the memory card). Then select JAD file and select "Options/ Install". This will start the installation process.
By default, there is a limit of 400 KB for maximum JAR file size and you can't install JAR file bigger than 400 KB. If you try to install such files, you will see "JAR file is over max size" pop-up message error. To increase the maximum JAR file size limit, follow this simple procedure:
Enter this code in standby mode: *#52828378#
You will see "JAVA Test Menu" screen. Select option # 6 which is "OTA Test". Here you can see "Maximum JAR size (KB) which is 400 KB by default. Just enter your own value like 2048 KB. Press "Save" and exit from it. Now you can install JAR file of upto 2 MB size. Keep in mind that your new setting (2MB) will change back to default value (400 KB) if you RESTART your mobile. So, this is just a temporary setting but works perfectly to install large JAR files.
Note: You can set 4MB (4096 KB) limit for JAR files but it is safe to set this limit to 2MB and this 2MB limit is enough for most of JAVA softwares keeping in mind that "Games and more" JAVA folder size is only 4 MB. (USMAN AFZAL)

terence, 05 Nov 2009How do you switch from one sim to another to make a call.To make a phone call, select any phonebook entry OR type any phone number and press "SIM Selection" button present in right hand side of your phone to switch over the SIMs (from SIM1 to SIM2 or SIM2 to SIM1). Just keep an eye on signal strength Icons of both SIMs present on upper left corner of screen and see which SIM icon is highlighted when you press SIM selection button. Then make the phone call. To send SMS/ Email, write your message then press "SIM Selection" button to switch over the SIMs. You don't need to restart your mobile. (USMAN AFZAL)

Read my reply which was published after one day of your post (on 20 September 2009). I think you didn't read that. This was my reply:
"I am afraid that you have got a faulty set or with an older firmware because I don't have any problem that you are facing.
(a) I can say that C5212 has two transceivers with two IMEI numbers because when I am talking to someone on SIM1 and another person is calling me on SIM2, then I gets a pop-up message on screen with other person's name (if his name is saved on my phonebook) or his phone number and with options to "Accept" or "Reject" the phone call.
(b) I don't have any hanging problem after switch-on and off operation.
(c) You are correct about maximum JAR file size limit which is 400 KB maximum BUT you can increase this limit to even 2 MB in few seconds. I have successfully installed 1.4 MB sized software on my C5212 directly from memory card. Just follow this simple step:

(d) Both slots (SIM1 and SIM2) supports EDGE class 10. Make sure that your both SIMs are EDGE supported. I have checked your claim and found it wrong! I have two SIMs, one is EDGE enabled (ZoNG on SIM1) and other one is GPRS enabled (JAZZ on SIM2). I gets "E" icon when using internet from ZoNG and gets "G" icon when using internet from JAZZ. To check your claim, I opened the casing of mobile and interchanged the SIMs. So, after that I had ZoNG as SIM2 and JAZZ as SIM1 and I got "E" icon again when using ZoNG as SIM2.
Make sure that both slots (SIM1 and SIM2) are set with EDGE class 10 support. To check this, follow this simple step:
Enter this code in standby mode: *#4777*8665#
You will see "GPRS Tool" menu screen. Select option # 4 which is EGPRS MultiSClass. Now again select optio # 4 which is MultiSClass 10 (means EDGE class 10). Press "Back" and select option # 6 which is "GPRS Setting". Here you can see two options (EGPRS mode and GPRS mode). Just select EGPRS mode. This will save your setting. Now select your other SIM setting by pressing left or right navigation center key and repeat above procedure for SIM2. Now you have set your both slots (SIM1 and SIM2) at EDGE class 10.
(e) It uses same charger of my old Samsung J150. So, I am very satisfied with it."
