ANI, 21 Oct 2009Hello, Please can anyone tell me why my new phone Samsun... moreThe purpose of this phone is to use two SIM cards at the same time and you can receive voice calls/ messages on your both SIMs. Also you can make voice calls and send messages from both SIMs without restart your phone. What do you want? You want both SIMs active and enable simultaneously. So, SIM card management (button present on right side of phone) works great for this purpose. If you want, you can disable non-default SIM without restart your mobile.

I have 160 phone contacts, 160 SIM1 contacts and 140 SIM2 contacts and it takes only 0.4 second (less than a half second) to open the phonebook. The startup of C5212 takes 27 seconds to fully loaded which is not very slow, imagine that this is dual SIM mobile.

When you enter password for the first time, then you can see "Enter new password" question. But in your case, the mobile shows that you have entered wrong code. This means that someone has saved or changed the password in your absence. When you are on home screen, enter this custom reset code : *2767*2878# and wait till your mobile restart automatically. You will lose FM Radio channels name and your current password. Now goto Menu/ Settings/ Security/ Phone/ Change password. You will see "Enter new password" pop-up question. Just enter your new password and press "OK". Then confirm your new password. Now, your new password has been saved.

The firmware version of my mobile is C5212 JPIF1 and I am from Pakistan. If you can't see "Conv. Record" option then this is due to firmware version of your mobile.

Hello,
Please can anyone tell me why my new phone Samsung C5212 is not working with both sim cards? I mean it is ok when i put the first one but when i out the second, i have to choose between the sim 1 or sim 2, if i choose the sim 1 default, than i get the sim 2 enable, i mean automatically. This phone was made for that purpose no, guys?
Please can anyone show me the way to use the both sim cards, please. And another questions, people will be able to call at any sim they want?

to grip the phone is good but, my c5212 works so slow when finding contacts and call logs, veeery slow start-up, no independent flight mode of sims. battery only lasts 1day. not user intuitive interface, cannot use headset while charging and vice versa. Hard to access memory card(remove battery first). Not satisfied with this cell phone.

jafar ali, 17 Oct 2009How to record conversation on c 5212 dual sim.You can record incoming/ outcoming phone calls on your C5212 as 60 minutes long AMR files. Just make or receive a phone call then go to "Options" and select Option # 8 which is "Conv. Record". You can pause/ resume the recording during the process.

Purnendu Bagchi, 15 Oct 2009Hi, I have already installed the K D Player version in my P... moreHi, there is no need for PC studio software if you want to transfer files from PC to mobile (internal or external memory). Just use "Mass storage" setting of your mobile. You will see two removable drives on "My Computer" section in Windows PC.
To install JAVA games on your C5212, you just need to place JAR and JAD files in the SAME folder of your mobile ( Other files folder of internal memory or in the memory card). Then select JAD file and select "Options/ Install". This will start the installation process.
After installation, select KD Player then goto "Options/ Permission". Now adjust these settings as follows:
Under "Automatic start", select "Ask once per use"
Under "Network access", select "Ask once per use"
Under "Messaging", select "Ask every time"
Under "Connectivity", select "Ask once per use"
Under "Read user data", select "Always allowed"
Under "Write user data", select "Always allowed"
Under "Media Recording", select "Always allowed"
Press "Save".
Start the KD Player application. Go to "Menu/ Playlist" then again select "Menu/ Add files". Now you can see all folders of phone memory and memory card. Go to memory card folder and go to Music or Videos folders (you can also play MP4 video files through KD Player). Select "Menu/ add all" then select "Back" and select other music or video files present on other folders. Then select "Menu/ Done". Wait till you see all files of current playlist. Goto "Menu/ Save playlist" and select the folder where to save your current playlist and enter any name to save it. Select any file and press "OK" center key to play it. You can add all your audio and video files of memory cards in a single playlist. But still there is no option to play fullscreen videos in KD Player although C5212 can easily play fullscreen videos in landscape mode through it's default media player. There are also some minor bugs present in KD Player software. I have version 0.9.6 installed on my C5212.

Rahul, 13 Oct 2009Hi Usman, nice info there..however is the battery life actu... moreHi Rahul, Battery duration is excellent, more than 2 days or approx 50 hours. You can't empty it by non-stop listening of FM Radio or Audio Player for even 10 hours. It has longer battery life than my previous E200 mobile (which had 13 hours non-stop FM Radio usage capacity).
The battery duration for any mobile depends on the user itself. But the 3 or 4 hours battery life is just a false statement. I didn't check the battery duration on phone calls.
I have faced one minor problem. After using C5212 as mass storage device, sometimes (if using non branded memory cards) it shows "Updating" pop-up message for few seconds if you try to access memory card from mobile's file manager. This issue has been resolved after using 4GB MicroSD HC card. You can read my full review of C5212 on my website "usmanafzal.com".
