Also, i can't find any way to associate a contact to a pre-defined SIM, so you wouldn't need to change SIM's before you make a call.
Imagine, if you want to call your boss which is in SIM1 network, your "Boss" contact info could have a pre-defined SIM to make a call. If you would like to call your Mom, which in SIM2 network instead, "Mom" contact info could be defined to that SIM2.
Cant find a way to do it. Maybe missing feature?Wouldn't that be nice?

Ok, just bought it 2 days ago, i have to say it's a good phone but not perfect.
1- battery life: fully charged 48h ago, did some calls (15min total, don't talk much ;)), used bluetooth ON for about 1 hour to receive contacts from my other nokia phone and sent 3 sms. Battery is now 2/5 full, or || (Full charge = |||||). My Nokia 5161 battery with bluetooth always on, same calls/sms, lasts for 6 days. So battery in C5212 is not so good.
2- Some minor flaws:
2.1 Speed dial only uses primary SIM, it would be nice to choose wich SIM to make the call.
2.2 If you switch SIM to call, be sure you change back to the SIM you want to use most, or you will end up making calls with the secondary SIM thinking it would switch back automatically. No it doesn't...
2.3 Menus are nice but sometimes it's a little dificcult to find some features. For instance "bluetooth" is in Apllications sub-menus. So to turn it ON/OFF you need to go through lots of sub-menus. Not nice if you need it quickly (e.g. while driving). It would be nice for Samsung to do something about it in next firmware update. Something easyer. (I think all samsung phones have this problem...?)
2.4 LAST but not the least (and this one really pisses me off), if it's on stand-by the screen goes totally black. I mean, there's no icon for missed calls/incoming sms at all. And when i tap a key in order to light up the phone and check for this, it's still in "Key Lock", there's nothing! Only when i unlock the keys it displays the missed call/sms. THIS really bothers me. IT doesn't even display date/time while in stand'by, like most phones do!
Guys, maybe im missing something here. If you have any suggestions please do reply.
Cheers

frelop, 21 Sep 2009Looking everywhere for dual sim phone that will work in USA... moreHi. C5212 is a dual band 900/1800 mhz and wont work in usa not unless it has an american 850/1900 mhz version. You can go for a triband d780 but this is so only on the primary sim which will render it a non standby dual sim in usa. Hope i helped you.

Looking everywhere for dual sim phone that will work in USA (GSM). This one is the first I've seen that has what I want and seems tough enough. Had CECT/SciPhone from China; piece of junk. Had to be replaced once and hasn't lasted the year. Anyone know if this phone will work in USA? If not, any suggestions? I do NOT want a slider - I will break it.... THX!
