:)
I use that "blacklist" function a lot, not only to block unknown callers but also to block calls and text messages from those annoying people I know and just don't want to listen to. :)
Enjoy your phone, I like mine a lot (even "forgot" the 5800XM in the drawer).

it a good thing that c5212 actually can block callers with unknown number...y'know. but can anyone who's already using it mention the additional features it has? what pains me most is that is not a 3G phone. but i like the lesser weight stuff and the handyness. i am currently using d780 and wish to replace it with c5212. cheers and God bless!

Henrique, 24 Jul 2009LOL Filipe, you're so right! Don't people have a brain any... moreThe thing that gets to me is there's people selling their Samsung dual SIM mobiles because they think they are defective, or have an unpractical design for using the second SIM. I guess the damage is in their brains :/
I should be receiving my C5212 today, ordered last Sunday from an eBay seller located in Hong Kong. This is to replace my older D880 which is so big. This new model will do exactly the same job yet with less weight and size. Plus C5212 will allow me to block 'unknown' callers (those who call without showing their numbers), I find this type of call so irritating.
You know, for me to consider Samsung mobiles perfect they could add only 2 features: first, in the phonebook I should be able to cycle through a contact's numbers by using left and right like SE and LG; and second, I'd love to have a programmable schedule for turning it off and back on for overnight battery saving. That would rock big time!

Ahhhh you forgot to mention HOW HARD it is to switch between Sim cards if you're sending a text message...
So, here it goes:
While you are writing the message, press the "switch sim button" (yes, that one on the side) and you'll see that the active Sim will change from one to the other instantly.
Really hard stuff, uh? Geeesh...
Why don't people explore their phones a bit?...
Anyway, lovin' my phone. It is what it is, a simple, basic phone with the capability to have two Sim cards on at the same time.

sathish, 22 Jul 2009hi vinayak, I don't know of secret for without reboot to... moreMy God! There is no secret, it's normal operation! DO NOT PRESS THE SWITCH BUTTON FIRST. The thing you need to do first is to dial the number. Or find the contact you want to call, or look into the call log. Only then you press the switch button. It's so simple! You are pressing the button first and making the phone to reboot so only then you dial the number. That's wrong! First you dial, then press the switch button then make the call! Ooooohhh that's a miracle! Gosh.

Vinayak Bhende, 29 Jun 2009You can swap between the SIM cards for making any call.Go t... moreI know it's late - but you are a genius Vinayak! I had not been able to figure that out as was a little miffed to say the least (many phones switch between sims on re-boot - I was beginning to think Samsung had produced a middle of the road dual standby, with old technology - not 2 sims always on / always usable without re-boot). Now 100% happy. BTW I am using the B5702 not the C5212 as above - but this worked a charm on my phone anyway.
