i have this phone for 3 months now. before, it was working properly, nice features, but after months of usage, it shows some software problems, the screen turns white and then returns to normal again, it happens very often, when calling the phone restarts itself making me very frustrated. i olny use a 1gb. of memory, i dont have many files on my phone, so i dont know why its happening!, now im SOO disapointed, i should have bought a C3. to those who are planning to buy this, warning....think again, they say that "looks can be decieving" well in this case its true.

Guys, what version of opera mini are you using? I'm currently using the 4.2 'coz I can't install the 5.1 version. The bolt browser is a breeze here but I still prefer opera mini.

Prarav, 16 Feb 2011The box comes with a 2GB Micro SD MMC, a battery, a charger... moregreat review, but just to correct something- this is not a smartphone. operating system of this phone is midp or j2me. smartphones have push capabilities- or being able to update email/contact status in real time, while "dumb" phones like these are only able to pull- retrieve updates/info at specified interval (say every 15 minutes). this phone's fb client and web-based apps are able to update in real time, but only because they have to remain connected to data/internet. whereas, smartphones only connect to data/internet when new info comes in.

The box comes with a 2GB Micro SD MMC, a battery, a charger, a USB data cable, a 3.5mm stereo headset & the handset itself. Now, let me be honest that the Samsung S3353 (Ch@t 335); may not beat the Blackberry's & the Nokia Enterprise solutions handset; but it definitely is fantastic handset with overall solutions that any of the mentioned SMART phones can deliver. The specs are already mentioned on this website, therefore, I'll share with you my hands on experience with the phone as a buyer & an end user. Some of the things which I liked were the h/s is less than 100gms in weight. the USB charging port & the 3.5mm audio jack are placed on top of the phone & the USB port has a cool slider, unlike the ones before - where you had to pick the small jack to inser the USB - so no hassles there. However, the MMC doesn't have a hot swap. It would be inappropriate for me to term these as flaws on a handset which costs less than 5k. C'mon, I've to give credit to the "samsung engineers" for being able to put up so many features on the phone (MORE THAN ONE CAN ASK FOR IN A VALUE FOR MONEY SMART PHONE). the optical trackpad is such a breeze to use. the music player comes with a "search option" - which I guess, wasn't available in the "Corby" ones & that was a pain indeed. The 2mp camera does not have a flash; however it does have some exciting features with different modes to choose from (such as.. normal, BnW, Sepia, negative etc). apart from that, you can change the brightness settings of the camera according to the light around you. the QWERTY keys are delightfully placed like the ones you find on the BB phones, that means - even for a person with extra large fingers can use it as a breeze (belive me, I do have very large fingers!). I was able to transfer all my contacts (this includes multiple entries of a single contact) from my old Nokia Symbian handset to the Samsung handset via bluetooth within 1minute (there were close to 1k contacts in my old phone). Also, the web browsing is very easy to use. The exciting part is that this phone is up to date with all the communities one requires in todays handset. it includes, preloaded applications for (FB, Twitter, Picassa, Orkut, Flickr, Myspace & many more). The h/s also has inbuilt FM radio & the signal clarify is simply outstanding - even in places in my bedroom where the FM quality wasn't great with my older phones. you don't need a PC suite (Samsung KIES software for data transfer); you simply need to select the option as an external drive on your phone & then voila! ... you just need to drag & drop all your fav photos, videos & music from your PC to your phone preset folders & the handset does the rest of the magic. I've never been so enthusiastic about any other phone recently. To whomsoever I've shown my handset - they've instantaneously fallen in love with it; especially when I mention the price range to them :)
This handset definitely packs a punch if you compare it to the Micromax Q5 or the Nokia X3-02 or the Spice Qwerty h/s. loads of features to fall in love with. my recommendation is - if you want a phone for your casual or serious usage or simply to impress, this handset is a MUST buy! you won't regret the decision. thanks, if you need any further details - please mail me at prarav@aol.com
