Samsung confirms new Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 for India
Samsung confirmed today it will relaunch the Galaxy S21 FE in India with a new chipset. Initially launched in January 2022, the smartphone will reappear in the Asian-Pacific country with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The platform comes with Adreno 660 GPU, and Samsung coupled it with 256 GB storage.
The initial press release did not reveal the official launch date, but there is a link for those interested to register for more details, when they become available.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was initially launched in India with the Exynos 2100 chipset, while other markets got the Snapdragon version. The 256 GB variant was priced at INR53,999 ($730 at that time), but currently, the Exynos-powered phone is INR43,999 ($535) on the Samsung website.
The new version will be named Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G 2023 so you'll be able to tell the two apart. Expectations are to launch with a new Navy Blue color. At the same time, the rest of the hardware features should remain unchanged - the 6.4” 2X Dynamic AMOLED display, 12 MP main camera, and 4,500 mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.
