    Will somebody please answer me??

Does it bother many people that the phone does not ring and vibrate at the same time? Does it really vibrate for 20 secs before ringing, and then once it starts ringing it stops vibrating??

The external speaker(soundmate) connects to the D500 through a mini usb port built in to the phone.

Can anyone tell me if songs downloaded to the mp3 can be used for the ringtone?

Also...does the phone vibrate for both message and incoming call?

Awesome phone, really enjoying it after my Nokia. Anybody know how to get a ringtone or mp3 set as a ring tone, to vibrate at the same time as it rings. Within the phone there are 2 saved ringtones that vibrate while ringing. I cant set this as an option within the phone settings as it only allows either to ring, vibrate, or ring then vibrate. I want to be able to set it to ring and vibrate at the same time??

Do you have a Nokia? Then trade it in for the D500. The menu system is so simple, you won't need to learn anything, it's so intuitive. I hate phones that I have to constantly refer to the manual to operate (eg Sharp GX30), and the Nokia menu system isn't THAT good, regardless of what the masses think. But with D500, you forget all your previous phones in an instant.

The phone is ok to look at, not the funkiest phone, but it's so black and cool, it wouldn't look out of place on Darth Vader.
Build quality seems next to none, but I haven't dropped it yet, so I cannot comment.

The screen is great, not quite as clear as the Sharp GX30, but picture taking is a breeze. The ring tones are of incredible quality, shame about the choice of tunes.

If you give this phone as a present, the presentation box could raise some eyebrows. Samsung have a knack of showing off their goods, and this is the best yet. Chanel and Clinique would run a close second when it comes to packaging.

Only had the phone 2 days and already the D500 has rekindled the love of Samsung that I have... I have used many Samsung from the T100 and P400 and then I swayed to the SE K700i to try out another kind of phone and then found myself back with Samsung.

The feature set of the D500 has blown me away from Bluetooth to MP3 player to the shear quality of the screen and camera.

I dont think I have found 1 fault yet but then I am a big Samsung fan so will be hard to find a fault.

At first I didnt see a point for the external speaker clip but then trying it with the MP3 player has suprised me of the excellent sound it produces.

Anyone thinking of the D500 but still unsure just needs to look at the competition... You will not go wrong with the D500 unless you are a Nokia fan which you will hate the ease of use of the D500...

How do I change my message tone? There in eight different ones on the phone, but none that is very discreet. Anywhere I can download other ones from?

                            Thanks

Just got a D500 on Orange and it's unbranded with the standard menus's etc. Rang Orange as I though all their phones came in Orange boxes with Orange branding on the phone and the guy said not the D500's.. The phone is a very light grey colour, not the black or chacoal I have seen previously. Anyone else heard of Orange sending out unbranded handsets ?

During transfering of files via bluetooth there will be a % bar indicating transfer status.

Btw the picture quality is good in a sense that its sharp but all the photos seems "covered" with a dark hue regardless whether it is taken in bright sunlight or indoors. But general quality is good and the "dark hue" could be easily rectified using Photoshop.

In answer to all the questions about zooming...

When taking a shot.. the Volume control flips the image through vertical and horizontal.

When the shot's already been taken, the volume control zooms the image in and out.

I heard you can zoom in and out on photos taken by the fone using the side(volume)button.

I got a question though. What happens when you transfer/receive files using the D500. Does it show a loading bar or a percentage? Someone with the phone please respond.

I heard that you can zoom on photos after they have been taken by using the side (volume) button. This should allow u to zoom in and out.
