Hi all you D500 users. I just got this phone and love it. I am able to send MP3s from my Sony Ericsson K700i so i am not too sure as to why other people can't send and receive mp3s etc via infra-red.

Some ppl here are really misguided.

*No, the Samsung D500 does not have a mem card slot. The person who said it takes up to 1gb must be talkin about the Samsung D600 which is not out yet.

*How can you not know that it has a vdeo camera!? Its been on this site long enough and other ppl have mentioned it. Does have video recorder and player.

Great phone.. really cool looking and great camera. Struggling to get the Samsung Bluetooth headset for it - everyone seems to be still waiting for them. Does anyone know if they've actually released it or where somewhere has them in stock?

"I complained at the Samsung E630 that I can't see whole taken scene on the display; that I can see only a crop. It's the same how the D500 works, but it shows full format after pressing the star key"
I cut this portion out from da review it says dat show full format after pressong the star key...dun work 4 me..how bout u guys???

                    Great phone and battery life.

I fully drained the battery power that was on the phone when i first got this phone. Then i charged it up for 16hrs and let it go flat then charged it up for 16hrs and let it go completely flat then charged it up for 16hrs. So basically i fully charged and discharged this phone for 3 lots of 16 and get 5-6 days standby on it.

So for all those people out there that are complaining that their battery isn't charging then you need to do what i did.

If it still doesn't give you more than about a day then take it back to where you got it from and get a new battery or go to a authorised repair centre so they can swap the battery over with a new one as the phone has a 12 month warranty and the battery has 6 months.

P.S. Yes Australia has them to buy now as my friend just got one today.

Can you put memory cards (sd, mmc rsmmc etc) in this phone or is it internal memory only?
                        Thanx.

the usb port is the same with the chargher slot...the one in the right is for inserting the"SOUND MATE"......but i have a problem too...i have one and i had a big problem with it...suddently it stopped working(calling reciveing calls and sms)and iti also had a problem with the battery..it held only o day.these problems surprised me(it cost me a fortune)...but i sent it back to uk(from where i baught it) because the experts scrached their heads at the sight of my d500:-p and of course i still have the warinty...it will get to uk and i hope they will get it working well...
it is the hottest phone on the market...i`m still inlove with it...if someone else who owns a d500 has a problem like mine..pls tell me about it...(if not ... then i`m relly unlucky:-p)

I just got this phone on Vodafone with 500 mins and Free Weekend Calls for £25 per month for 6 months, plus a half price SE BT headset. The phone is great quality, the only thing it marjorly lacks is voice dialing. There are other really small annoying things too like no ring+vibrate concurrently, can't change text size of menus, low customisation features (visually). But no phone is perfect, and this is certainly one of the very best out there at the mo.

The phone itself was ok, then after a few weeks the LCD display leaked without the phone being dropped. After sending it through the proper channels I got a email after more than 6 weeks that the phone could be repaired for 204 euros. This repair will not be under guarantee because when you but it, you automatically agree to there guarantee terms.

The European consumer protection law from 2003 states that products which show a defect within the first 6 months are expected to have had this defect when it was bought. The vendor then has to prove that the defect was caused by the user.

You can guess the reply from Samsung!!

After this experience I will never ever buy any Samsung product ever again!!
