For Bob: Re-USB Cable
Have you downloaded the software for the d500 from samsung website? It's about 133mb. I use infra red but my mate uses a usb data cable. He uses the software which he downloaded from the samsung website.

To Christian Brehm :
It was another guy , not me who asked about changing the languages.
My statement was: Every single Samsung phone
vibrates first for 2-3 times and only then rings.

Hi Eddie,
sadly there is no email address of you...
Try the following from the beginning to set the language to english:
- press the left function key (with these 3 dots) to get into the menu
- 9 for the settings
- afterwards 2 for the the phone options
- one for languages
and there you have to figure out what 'english' is in chinese :-)
My one is by default in german and aparently doesn't support chinise language.
My comment: I haven't tested all the features that phone has, but the fist impression is really good. The developers had many really good ideas, especially on details!

When will Samsung fix this bug.
As far as I know every single Samsung phone does this: Vibrates 2-3 times first and then rings.
Come on Samsung, wake up and fix this issue!

Well I dont actually have the phone (upgrading tommorow!) but I have had a go on it and read several reviews etc, and I am looking forward to it. I'm getting the silvery grey one instead of the black for 2 reasons. 1. Its a rarer version, 2. I can only get the silver one on Orange!
I'm glad it has infra red, it will make transfering my phone book from e700 nice and quick, and I am just hoping I dont have any of the battery, ringtone problems people here have had!

My phone has the same problem although i'm not sure if it's a problem. The sound goes softly in the beginning and then louder near the end when someone is calling. So you're not the only person who has this problem. Even though this is so, i still love the phone. it's a really good phone with really cool features
