Wpw, this phone is just gorgeous, like a beautiful woman when u get hold of it it just cant let it go or put it down. Great design matched only by its great features as well. Samsung have really put a lot of effort in this time and this phone is an example of that. Nokia had better beware, customers like me are gettin fed up of their half hearted attempts in many phones, this is real quality.

to steve. Most important things is Symbian OS and memory slot , with hundreds free symbian applications out there u can turn ur phone to brilliantphone.x700 is offering great stylish and great many symbian applications. from wav mp3 to ogg player, from vcd to dvd player, u can turn ur phone to dictionary,to call recorder,to fm radio ,compass, answering machine, etc. U got it all in x700. while d500 or s700 or other hp dont use operating system cant install any new app. what it offer is what u get. But with x700 u get beyond that thanks to symbian.

This phone is just incredible. Look at its size in real life then compare it to its rivals like the S700i, 6230 etc and you will see it is an awesome engineering feat as well as a technical masterpiece. Its definitely worth buying as it can impress u and ur friends as well as catering for your hi tech needs.

Steve if are interested for D500 and S700 , u cant leave with an x700,
S700 is the best overall, but it really is bulky, D500 has the perfect balance

Ralph, indeed you can but the person at the other side is hearing you less good, slide the phone open for better sound quality. At least this is my experience.

d500 is a coo phone but doesnt support aac files,so that description of acc files is inaccurate.

I'm a SAMSUNG fanatic and would like to know the maximum video recording time and also about the audio during playback. How effective are they?

                                      -Samsungman

I was curious to know about the clarity of the calls. I currently own an e600... and am sad to say the reception of the phone is quite horrid, i don't know whether if its my service (doubtful because I have tested at one location with 4 different nokias and they had impeccable reception.

I've always wanted a small slider... much like the e800 but finally its come out for the 1800 band.

                                      -BIG PIMPA

please don't base value on prices. some people use appeal in order to succumb those persons of lesser depth and end up wanting fashion... and usually those persons don't mind spending a little more.

so when it comes down to it... do you want the fashionable (v3) with alloy cover and beautiful keypad...

or is it features that has 96 MB shared memory... approximately 19 times more than the v3.

my question is... how good is a fashionable phone... when you can't have storage to keep your fashionable music, photos, and videos.

The new bluetooth for samsung, kudos to samsung on the d500.
