ok so davey b says that file transfer is crap. i assume that means it is compatible? bluetooth is useless if it can only be used for handsfree. someone confirm it can send and receive mp3s etc?

Ive had thisphone for about 2 weeks now and can give an honest opinion. It is a good phone dont get me wrong but it is just BORING!! , for the first week i was impressed but after the novelty wears off this phone will anno you. Also the battery life is APPALING!! , i charged it for 16hours the first charge and it lasts a day (just).
AVOID!!

question for those knowledgeable ones!
ok i been looking for the specs of this phone from different websites. some say it has 80 mb some say 96 mb. which is true? or are there 2 version of this phone concerning the memory space? im also aware that there is a version of this phone that has edge so exclude that..i just want info about the memory...thanks

bluetooth was going to be the end of cables,each product would be able to converse with each other ie fridges, garage door opening devices, transfer of data the lot provided you were in the range. huh!most bluetooth is blocked by firms in different ways and its hard to get synced most times.its turned out to be an expensive waste.the best use of b/tooth ive seen but not tried is wire less gaming altho most of you think its headsets but 90% of them probably wont sync with your phone. b/tooth is a 100% lie as b/tooth is b/tooth every b/tooth product shud be compatible with all b/tooth products its as simple as that ,so it is not standard so what is the rudy point

ive had many a phone and never been able to send an mms to orange.any that have got thru direct you to a comp to view.ive been with them on three occasions and just returned the fones.orange have some great deals on prepay tho.this phone runs out of memory fast which is ashame about no extendable mempry

The D500 i have bought recently, has alot of problems with it. 1) You cannot send picutre messages to anyone on the Orange network 2) to my amazement the bluetooth is very tempremental and file transfer is pathetic 3) The slide function is "stylish" but totally useless and i find it became loose after only two weeks (still waiting for phones 4u to get it back to me.
I would strongly advise anyonbe looking for a new phone to avaoid this one. along with Nokia's, the Samsungs are becoming very over priced for the limited features they hold.

Does anyone know how you get MP3's off your computer and onto this phone? No data link cable is supplied! Even if I bought one would it still be possible? Also is the software available from the Samsung website? Thanks.

bluetooth dont work? - it better not be like samsung infra-red which wont let you connect with any fone (unless yu wanna send contacts - rediculous) - bluetooth has to be able to send (and receive) files from different mobiles otherwise it will be pointless! dont get me wrong, i love everythin to do with samsung, jus they are shoddy when it comes to compatability.. someone please tel me whether the bluetooth only supports handsfree.and there i was thinkin it was a perfect fone :(

We love the latest technology here in Jamaica. The D500 is coming out here 2morrow and i must have it! It costs 40,000 jamaican dollars about US$700.
That's pretty Xpensive by any standard
but I am in love with this phone can you feel me? Holla!

oh, guys..
got the D500 and i'm very happy with it!!
maybe there are a few small features on the Nokia that there aren't on the D500.
but there is a big difference: quality! not important to you, if you buy a new phone every few months...
