HazeL, I have a D500E (from TIM) in silver - it is exactly the same shape as the D500. As far as I know, it should have some more memory, but the features are the same ...

I was to the store yesterday and the phone was great! Really high quality screen, and the camera was fine too. But does anyone know a page where they have pics taken with D500? Would be nice to se those great pics on the computerscreen!

Hey guys!
Samsung D500e version will be available in the beginning of the year.If i'm not wrong, It is in a clam-shell form-factor. The difference is in the camera, it has more memory, and a lil bit changed or improved software! can any1 tell me more abt this D500e?

i bought this phone yesterday and have to say it's not all it cracked up to be. the problems regarding the slider mech., easily marked with greasy hands, bt and infrared compatability, poor picture display, no internal speaker phone, no expansion for memory, no voice dialing are all true. worst of all though is that i'm a big fat liar cos this phone ROCKS!!!! get it now while you can cos they is selling like free sex. i got mine for £480 squid, bargin. sorry for my ingrish i am from nottingham and is chinese. thank you please! yeah i know i want that one. computer says no

Tom,i belive S700 is cheaper becose BenQ isn`t very popular like samsung...i own a D500 and i can tell u it`s a jewel...
but it`s only u`re choice

Not sure what the Benq S700 is like in itself but they made it for O2 here in the UK branded as O2 X3 and its a disaster! - partly due to the firmware having lots of issues - not sure if its the Benq part of the firmware of the O2 part - have a look on this forum under O2 then model X3, theres over 70 pages now!!

Samsung D500 VS BenQ S700. What is your opinion??? I am going to buy either one of them. But D500 is kinda expansive. And BenQ S700 has all the function of Samsung D500 does, but BT. Also S700 can play movie so well... but... I really don't know... Do you guys think BenQ S700 is good to buy?? since it is much cheaper then D500.

is panasonic X700 cam better or samsung D500 cam better?
ok samsung D500 is gonna be very costly. can anyone tell me does it REALLY worth it. as i doesn't want to get it , after that i regret.
and i saw panasonic X700, ok basically it a nice-looking phone. but the cam i doesn't know that well.
i dont reali go phones wit loads of great funtion. i'm ok wit a hanphone wit good cam and nice looking wit big LCD.
soo ppl, can u pls help me to choose whether is SAMSUNG D500 better or panasonic X700 better??

Gathered comments for samsung D500 from the owners:
1-no extra memory
2-slider gets loose
3-use a lot of power
4-bluetooth?
5-picture messaging?
Anything amiss or wrong? Dont get me wrong, i love this phone and am considering of buying it. But with all these dubious comments, would it be worth it to buy it? When in the end you either regret buying or still loving it?
I love having sophisticated, elegant-looking items including this phone, but with all your opinions said, does it worth the trouble?
Quite frankly, i dont mind with all the comments, except when davey b mentioned that the slider can get loose. That turn me off but atleast i know.

Maybe you tend to slide it roughly? just asking.

Hi lan, i'm from brunei too. I've been waiting for this phone to arrive ever since it was displayed! I think it costs sumwer around $1200 or so. It hasnt arrived yet! You might as well buy it in Singapore!
