Got the last one from the carphone warehouse in Northampton today, my god what a phone! Had a few Nokias (3210,7610,6120), an old school ericsson (GA628!), a siemens (SL55) and the Samsung E700, but this is by far and away the best phone I've owned. Bluetooth is great, screen is flawless, the SoundMate clip on speaker is quality, and it was FREE (£35/month tariff). Get one now...

Got it this morning and am more than a little impressed, it looks and feels amazing, features and functions are easy to use and the camera is top notch.
The best phone ive ever had the pleasure of owning, and the best ive ever seen. Only time will tell if its reliable, but for now 10 out of 10, very impressed!!

I just had a reply from Samsung Australia regarding the phones availability. They informed me that it will be available for sale in the first half of next year.

Got the D500 today. It is not as good as i thought it would be, the camera quality is not as good as the Sharp Gx30. the let down being there is no voice dialling and expansion slot. Don't have too high expectations for this phone, although it is a good phone it doesn't excel in all categories ie photo quality, expansion slot for more mp3s, voice dialling, no EDGE. But it is still one of the best of its size on the market

i held the D500 in my hand today it was awsome! the size is slightly bigger than the E800, and i did see the accessory for boosting the noise u do get it with the fone. I am getting this baby tomorrow, cant wait! Enjoy

The D500 DOES NOT have any voice dialling facility so the only thing you can do with Bluetooth (as a hands free) is take an incoming call or re-dial your last call! To dial out a new call you have to use the the numbers stored in the on-board phone book or open the handset and dial the number manually! Either way you have to still have your hands on the phone! For such a high spec phone this is a real let down.

what are the reported bugs then? i bought an o2 x3 few months ago and it was a huge mistake, i should have waited to see what everyone else asid once they got it. Great specs but problematic. Hence why im reading here about this phone.

                                        whats EDGE?
why is the bluetooth bad, what can cant you send via bluetooth?

                                        replies appreciated
