How do I transfer music to the phones MP3 as I DO NOT have the slightest idea and would really like to listen to music on it. Is it done through windows media? Thanks

HeyBuddy: U know what my two cousine are having this very phone D-500. I am a Technical Support Executive in a GPRS helpline I love this phone most. Not like nokia in which you can install other applications also. But the Sound quality and video quality is Marvelous. With sound mate its too good. Not getting any problem like hanging or else.
I have some questions .. Phone memory is shared ... Is there any memory quota assing to videos or mp3 folder? If yes how can we change it. What is today's Price of this phone in India? Thanks buddy I shall be very thankful to the answers for yours. If any query regarding GPRS you can mail me too. Please people with answers.....

why is it when i press the green phone function to call any last dialled/received numbers,the phone freezes and switches off.it goes on automatically not even asking me for a password ?

Hi mat to put phone in silent mode press # button for 1 second n thats it. N 4 yr video as i said last comment dat go n search engine n write free 3gp software converter i think 2 softwares r working perfectly which i got from search, check out yr self

matt hold in ur hash key to put the fone on silent....do have manual settings on 02 network for d500

how do you put the phone on silent the quite feature doesnt work and also i bought a dongle and every time i try to import a video clip it doesnt let me do it. does any one no of a file that converts media files to a file that the d500 support THANX FOR UR HELP

hi hayley n people those who wants to copy video from computer to d500 n vice verse, most important is that mobile reads only 3gp format video so video shoots by mobile is in format 3gp, when u copy it in computer u need special software which is easily available free of cost on site, u can search it by google, yahoo. through that software change the format as per your requirement, so simple, n if want to copy from computer to mobile same process u have to follow.
change format into 3gp n copy to mobile.
friends all mobile have some drawbacks, but all rounder is samsung d500, its best for all purposes, yes nokia is great in all respect but samung d500 its best phone, simple, smart, easy etc... frnds any help regarding d500, feel free to ask me, i am using this phone since june, working without any problem, connecting to computer easily via bluethooth, internet surfing through GPRS, so enjoy this phone

I thought this D500 was great when I got it. All the reviews that I have read are superb. That was until yesterday (about 5 months after getting myself the phone), that the screen went blank on me for no reason. There is still sound but the whole screen is white and nothing comes up. I can still receive call by pressing the green button, just that there is nothing on the LCD. Called up the cust service centre, told me that it is not uncommon for D500 to have this problem. Luckily it is still under warranty, if not have to fork out some extra expenses!! :(

the phones great. i won it but still have to pay 4 it. lol. i told them that i wanted the phone then found out the d600 is out. can any 1 tell me if the d600 is any better.

i have this samsung d500 and its great, but how do you or is it possbile to put video clips from your computer to the phone. I once tried to in WMV or WVM format but it wont send, does the file have to be in a particular format that will make it send?

I am in Canada on Rogers wireless, also have problems with MMS. Had problem with accesing internet but figured it out on my own. The port number (in GPRS settings) Rogers gave me didn't work so I replaced it with 8080 and it is working very well now.
I still have problem with MMS, so if someone knows what other port numbers there are that I might be able to use please let me know.

umm...it depends, if u u transfer it via fone - fone, then no software is required, but its goin 2 take ages 2 transfer mayb 5 min plus, remember, if u need 2 transfer songs thru da D500, turn on the phones visiblity ON and bluetooth on, or some thing, i cant remember .... and u do via comp, such as data cable, and wireless devices, yes u will need 2 have a software, and a program from their site, to recognise the fone and comp together (-_0)
