Just got this phone. I feel Samsung makes the best phones. The most up to date technology with great design and functionality. No problems as of yet. I don't think anyone can beat the camera and picture quality. Good going Samsung.

my dad knows 2 people that have had to return the D500 because of problems. I was going to get it then the lady at the shop told me it would be better to NOT get it because lots of people have been returning it with problems so i didnt get it and got another phone (LG f1200 GREAT PHONE)

cheers liz,i was edging towards z500 with it being slightly newer bt wasnt quite sure.how do you find the alarm on it,any problems with setting it+it going off at random?i like the look of both,bt more than likely i'll choose z500

It would be better if it is upgradable in its memory. That is the only thing by which it is lagging behind then everything is very perfect.

Hey Dan: I "was" a Nokia fan before i brought a Nokia 3230 and it was crap, i then floged it off and brought this Samsung D500 and it was amazing! I was sooo happy with samsungs effort that i brought the Samsung Z500, it is AWESOME!! I wouldn't go backnow, o i also had a Sharp V902 in between the D500 and the Z500 and out of those 3 the Samsung Z500 wins handsdown! the only problem that i have is when you download ringtones of the net they are not very loud, and Samsung pc Suite is a dog! so i use the bluetooth function to transfer files.
So if i wer you and i had to choose either Z500 or D500 i would be choosing Z500.

Select menu,phonebook,contact list,then on your entry
press options,select 1.view.then options again
then copy & select sim then save this will then return
u 2 contact list where u will have 2 entries delete the
phone memory entry ,sadly u must repeat this process
4 each one seperately.....

hi i have some photos on my d500 but i cant get them printed off anywhere, went to our local shop and tried through infrared but the image couldnt be displayed, and i dont have any cables to transfer to a computer,
please does someone know the answer.

The phone is awesome! It has everything but TV. Plenty of camcorder time. U can use full mp3 songs for rintones. Sold unlocked Black Rzr for this.

Has anyone tried to replace the housing. I ordered a silver housing for mines off ebay. But has no instructions. Does anyone know of a site that has a step-by-step guide? Thanx...Detroit, MI-USA

Hi Vanara, I tried deleting the numbers on my call list and but as soon as i try, it resets itself. i wonder if it is b/c i have to many songs etc on my phone.

just got it, not very impressed for such an expensive phon you expect good quality and i am dissapointed, highly recomend the motorola v3 in stead

i want 2 know how long ur battery last.If i listen mp3 on my headphones it longs like 4-5 hours.....and on stand by..like 3-4 days..is it ok ?...and what can i do...if i wont ..on vibrate mode...only to vibrate oane and then ring...or vibrate and ring the same time...Is vibrate 3 times and than rings..it sux..please help

I just got the D500, it is awesome, i like it. Can anybody tell me how to get music or song to my phone from computer, can i use DATE Cable or Bluethooth, and what king of Bluethooth?

raf..........hold in your hash key and it will allow you to put it on silent. go into ur settings and sound settings and check the volume is up full
