i may be getting this phone and i think it's really good. my friend has got it and it works fine what i really like about it is the sound it makes when you open and close it!!!!!!!!!!!!! it may be your computer that is not letting you download the song s or you may be doing it wrong!

i think this phone is abit overrated but if people want it i still sell it to them. i let them know what i think of it though. if it had expandable memory it would be a much better phone. still is selling pretty good here in australia.

I purchased the D500 just over a week ago and i am getting used to it fairly quickly. Previously being a Nokia user I was a bit cautious about changing brands as my old nokia was extremely easy to use. HOwever I was pleasantly suprised by the ease of use with the D500. If you are reading reviews you no doubt know all of the features this phone possesses..i just want to know if anyone else experiences a few of the difficulties I have encountered so far - (i) the right side of my phone is a little 'flimsy' and able to be pushed back and forth resulting in a feeling of less stability, (i) vibration is only fair and not extremely noticable - resulting in missed calls, and (iii) i know it's been said to death but have to say it again - battery life is very short 1 to 2 days on medium usage if that --> what's the deal there? Overall it is still an extremely well put together phone with a lot of pros.

From what i can see the problems that people have with D500 is a result of ignorance! that why you got a manual with the phone! i had mine for 4 months now and its problem free!

i have had the d500 for about a month now but i think its too overrated.dont get me wrong its a good phone but i was dissapointed when i got it.it has been rated way too much and isnt what u come to expect.the camera isnt that good in dull light and the video capture is pretty poor too.although it has excellent memory capacity and the sound quality is good too, although it is the exact same as my sony ericsson k700i,if anything,i still do prefer my k700i to this.as i aint too happy with this phone im thinking about giving the samsung e530 a try or the e720.what to people think of these?

People have been dissing this phone because of the battery. When you get the phone use up the battery power that is on the phone before you place the phone on charge for 14hrs. That way you get 100% charge. If you put the phone on charge as soon as you get home there is about 15% charge already on the battery so the phone won't be charged to 100%. I flatterned my battery when i first got this phone then charged it for 14hrs till flat then charged for another 14hrs then flat then another 14hrs charge. 3 lots of discharge and recharge for 14hrs will give you the best battery power. I get 4 days out of my battery because of doing the way Samsung recommmend that you charge the phone. So in other words i have no problem with the battery on my two D500 i have.

Hi there guys. I have just recently been given one of these phones. I already had one and now i have two. I haven't had any problems what so ever with this phone so far. I am able to copy all the photos etc via infra red. If there is anyone in Australia with this phone just contact your nearest phone agent and they can tell you where to take the phone to be fixed at a authorised repair centre. You have a 12 month warranty on this phone. As long as you haven't dropped it or got it wet etc then you will be covered by warranty. Also the best bluetooth which i use for this phone is the Motorola HS805. The reason as to why i suggest this bluetooth is because it has up to 22 hrs talktime and 22 days standby. You don't need to use a ac charger to charge this bluetooth as it runs off AAA batteries.
