Hi folks, I absolutely love this phone. I have tried Nokia 6320/! phones, Soni Ericson, Sharp GX20 and 30 - which I loved the pictures. I have tried the Nokia 3230 and I adore the camera etc. But I just cnnot see past my Samsung D500. Would someone please e-mail me and let me know if the know when the Samsung D600 is out in the shops to buy sim free. pearlkeegan@msn.com.
Great phone and I love itXXXXXXXXX

The D500 does have internal speakerphone. When youre on the call, press the i/ok button in the middle and it will transfer to and from speakerphone.
The D500 is the best phone made for consumers so far in my opinion. As for the occasional fault- this is bound to happen with every model at some stage and is no basis to judge on the phone design or brand as a whole! xxx

I haven't seen a problem with the slider but have seen problems with movement of the front panel when closed which concerns me that it could lead to slider issues later on down the line.

THIS! is simply a masterpiece. The best cell-phone. Design, features, performances.. on top of the world. I love it so much.
I don't understand those people who say that the slider gets loose soon. Well, I bet they don't see the difference between 'loose' and 'smooth'. I've been using this phone for two months and the slider opens up only when I want it to. SMOOTHLY.
Top-of-the-class cell phone!
No wonder Samsung is beating Nokia even in Europe now.
I heard those people in Korea are now enjoying Samsung's video cell phones with built in satellite TVs. Wonder when America will get civilized, though. :(
So far I love this phone and recommend it to all you people. You will find out why once you use it. :-)

well i bought the d500 almost a month ago , i have some things to say about it the slide is barley ok ,if u open it many times it will stay open ,second the speaker phone is external not internal the look of the phone becomes old fashioned like motorolla , without the speaker phone rigntones and message beeps are difficult to hear , camera is ok but video clips is not , if ur a lady its a good phone but if ur a guy u have to buy a bag to put it inside or else the phone will open and close every 2 seconds ,
and the phoine lock is a total weired u do a phone lock on ur samsung to let it activate u have to restart ur phone and then it shws phone is locked then when some1 calls u it shows for the caller that its ringing but for the recpter nothing rings the phones stays on phone lock no beep no nothing so its useless, today is 11 july 05 and i bought the phone exactly on 3 july so its been like 7 days not a month i bought with with 400 dollars brand new and im willing to sell it with 300 cos someday this phone will brake and bye bye money and for the bluetooth its good all phones can send and receive but the samsung is different it saves the phone names in its program so a new phone to send or to receive need authorisation code not like nokia u can enable or disbale this feature and its abit slower then nokiainfra red os okay, please samsung for future ideas and projects makethe phone greater with looks more heavy duty with a memory card slot , with internal speaker phone, with a software who can accept all formats cos d500 dont read mid and amr formats well thats an advice for me to you

I wanted the 6230i but after doing some researched settled on either a D500 or a E730n (still cannot make up my mind.
The complaints I have heard from 6230i users centres mostly on the wonky keypad and terrible bluetooth transfer.
