theres a few more question...!!
while listening to mp3 ....can we do other stuff on the phone...??
ex..like....when the mp3 player is running......and at the sametime can i view the pictures..??
does the phone have a good software for mp3...
ex..if i have 10 song.....do i need to press the play button for each songs or can i just press it once and it will play the rest of the songs by itself

To dutt way,
The procedure called activation is as following:
When you get the phone from the shop its battery is not fully charged. Use the phone until its battery goes out.
Plug the charger and charge the phone for 12-14 hours. It is better to look when the battery indicator stops flashing, and replug the charger. It will start to flash again. After 12-14 hours charging, use the phone normally and when the battery is fully discharged, repeat again the procedure. This should be made 3 times. After that you can use your phone normally, and charge it until indicator stops flashing.

can it be played in a nokia phone(3230 /6230) through bluetooth......???
-is the sound clear enough for loudspeaker...??
-does it have full screen mode when viewing video...????

It took several weeks of research before I finally decided to purchase this cellphone. It's amazing! Although the text message entry is slower than Nokia's interface, this phone has so many extra features. I bought the Samgsung D600 without the USB cable so I got another purchase from ebay. But I was having such a hard time installing everything untill reading some postings that gave me hope. The problem was setting up the USB connection and the com port. This is what's going on: For a full USB cellphone to PC connection (separately purchased data cable), you need to
1) install the USB DEVICE driver 1.0 from the provided CD
2) install the USB MODEM driver 1.0 as well using control panel->systems->hardware->use hardware wizard and select file from the CD drive
3) download the latest v3.0 Samsung PC Studio from http://sg.samsungmobile.com/en/phone/manual_software/manual_software.jsp?p_pfid_1=SGH-D600
or the UK website.
This is better than the Easystudio v2.0 on the CD.
4) Now just connect your cellphone to the USB to the PC, and the magic will happen.
Hope this record is helping other frustrated Samsung D600 owners.

The stand by time an the headset sound quality it's made more for a sound sytem bringing the charger or extra batteries with the av cable or a car charger

Hi :) I Just Got A New D600 For My Birthday But I Want To Upload Music Etc From My Pc On To My Phone However It Just Keeps On Coming Up Not Connected Does Any1 Know Why This Is & Yes I Have Install All The Stuff From The Cd Etc! So If Any1 Has A Clue Email :D Thanks. Love The D600 :D & To That Guy Slaggin Them Off UR JUST JEALOUS CAUSE THE D600 IS GREAT HAHA!

this fone really is hideous i absoloutely h8 it, it don't have 3g or a gd quality camera compared 2 my new WALKMAN which is a 3.2 medapixel 1. dave ur the stupid 1 if u think this fone is gd the worst eva!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To everybody who asks about multitasking and other stuff like this.
I want to state that this phone is not a smart phone! It does not support multitasking and you cannot write a SMS and listen to music, for example. You cannot install programs, like Symbian phone or these with ordinary operating systems. It has a great number of feaures, but this doesn't make it smart.

When you use the phone intensively, like listening to music, whatching video, the battery discharges quickly and because of this it releases heat. This is chemical reaction inside the battery. If it is not getting too hot, it is normal. The second reason is inside your phone - the processor. When you load it up, it gets warm because it starts to work at higher frequency.
About recent contacts. Go to the contact you wish to add, then go to options, the next should be Save as contacts and choose where to save it, in the phone or SIM.

When you use bluetooth and when you want to transfer files between devices, you have to pair with it. Pairing is a process of exchanging passwords for authorization to ensure that you are not sending something to someone accidentally. When you try to connect or send something to other device via bluetooth, you will be asked for a password. You must enter the same password on both devices. For example: I want to send you a file, and I am sending it via bluetooth to your device. On your handset you will be asked for a password. You enter 1234 as a password, and if I want to send the file I must enter the same - 1234.

Review your sms settings/send settings. You have to have a service centre number entered, given by your mobile operator. Thru this number you can send/receive messages.
I will answer another questions that I have seen.
No external speakers can be used. DO NOT TRY IT. There is a real chance of making short circuit. This is dangerous for the phone!
I have read some insinuations and lies about the phone! I am using 512MB trans flash card on my one, and this things about 56MB cards, scratches, bad camera are bullshits. Excuse me for the rudeness!
Everybody complains about the battery! People - do you read the manual or asking the seller, before starting to charge the battery? If you do not activate your battery properly, it will not take long! My battery is very durable. I can watch whole movie on my TV via handset, and it will last 2 days more. It is very, very important how the battery will be activated!

Supporting different languages depends on what is the version of the firmware installed on your handset. The firmware software must be a version that supports your desired language.
The difference between D600 and D600E is that D600E supports EDGE.

In answer to Bluetooth code question, it's probably just meaning a bluetooth sync code, so if you type "0000" into both handsets they should sync ok.

I've had this phone for about a month now and I think its great. However, I wished that the camera lens was placed under the sliding cover like the older Samsung slider models instead of being on the outside like now. I got my self-portrait mirror all scratched up from the mobile strap that came with the phone =( I now stick some sticky tape over it to protect it from further damage. And also, the phone strap gets in the way of the camera lens when taking photos because of the positions they are placed on the phone.
Does anyone know how to transfer the sms from the phone to computer?
