Can anyone help?....with all the talk about connecting the D600 to a PC via USB or Bluetooth....can the phone be connected to a Mac also? As I have a Mac and not a PC, this would be a huge deciding factor on whether to get this phone......hope someone can answer this.....

        for jess:
You probably installed your "Samsung PC Studio" CD software (if not, do so!) and now you can't that your D600 is connected (I hope you have Windows XP). It is connected!, it's just that your computer isn't showing it. What you need to do is this: open your "Samnsung PC Studio 3" program and select the "Manage files" icon and you'll see that the computer recognises your phone as "connected" and with this program you can upload/download files easily. If you have any more questions just post them. Ciao!

          for vaibhav:
you can view movies in fullscreen mode by presing "1" when playing a file -> it goes fullscreen on your left. By pressing "1" again it goes fullscreeen for your right (you'll know what I mean). Enjoy!

I think some of you need to really read the user's manual and learn what the phone can do and how you do it before saying the phone can't do it.

Previous Nokia fan. Problems, so was looking for new phone.
I need a phone to be a phone in the first place. To keep phone numbers, to easily update/ add nrs.
Secondly, I need a constant reminder of apointments.
And thirdly, I need a phone to be silenced without rejecting the call.
I made a bad choice. I went from Nokia to Samsung.
I cannot update an existing contact with a new nr from the call list, or by just typing the nr and then trying to update it. One has to go into the contact, and only then can you TYPE a new nr. Very inconvenient, especially while busy with a phone call, getting the nr from the person on the other side or when getting the nr via sms.
The alarm tone cannot be snoozed. It goes off once, very softly, very quickly and if you miss it, you miss it. Very bad for me. I need it to go off again in 5 or 10 minutes and for a longer period of time, so I can at least become aware of it.

Sometimes I'm busy with a conversation on different phone, and the cell rings. I just need to silence it so that it goes onto voice mail, but one can only either accept the call or reject it. And rejecting it is like putting the phone down in someone's ear. Very rude.

So I am extremely disappointed in the Samsung D600 when it comes to the basic functionalities of a cell phone.
Very sad that I went for it.

Junk fone.. it doesn't have autofocus. No autoflash. No optical zoom. No radio. No screensaver. No infrared port. No swivel camera. Can't take photo or record video while playing song or while doing bluetooth transfer. Can't play .wav or .mmf files. Cannot zip or unzip huge files. Player won't navigate automatically to next song on flash memory nor u can play in shuffle mode. Yu need to copy to fone memory and play for auto navigation. very delicate to handle and slips off easily from hand. When fallen to ground, it comes into two pieces. Slider rods get rough with rust or rods get jammed. No proper grip for sliding. I couldn't find option to record video directly to flash memory. If anyone knows please let everyone know.

you must put your mp3 in theinternal memoery to set it as your ring tone

                                D600 vs Nokia 6270:

I was facing this decision a week ago and I found the comments here on gsmarena to be insuficient. So for those in my situation the answer is simple: D600. Trust me! It's one of the most reliable and stable phones on the market today. And it's the best mobile to watch movies on - that what I use it for primarely. And a few clarifications:
                                1. it does play fullscreen! (just press 1 when playing a file)
                                2. the video-sound delay on 3gp files is not that freqvent. It only happened to me once and the delay was one sec. max.
                                3. Use "Imtoo 3gp video converter" to convert movies to 3gp format (U can find it anywere online with trial version, and then type this licence serial for full specs: 93E4-C6E2-911B-B36B-2024-8ECC-1245-4E85 )
Minor cons: it's true, it doesn't vibrate and ring at the same time (like all samsungs) so you have to get used to that ; the computer-phone-card transfers are a little slow (but then again, I don't have that much experience on this chapter with other phones) and the alarm doesn't ring is the phone is swiched off.

PS: great battery life (3, maybe 4 days) if you use some tips: set it to dualband instead of quadband, set the screen "shutdown" time to minimim (15 sec. U don't need more), kill the keyboard and slider sounds and use the head-set as much as possible, for the movies and mp3s.

Hi guy, is anyone having a prob with the batt? This is extremly annoying as i seldom go a full day without recharging it. "WTF"
Phone features are severly limited! does this phone have video streaming and can we configure the alarm tome to the mp3's stored on the phone? Also what is the maximum size of Flash card we could use. Any feedback Will be appreciated.
