D600 is okay in my opinion. I bought the TranFlash memory card and it is worthless for my computer to transfer video music into the memory. Even though, I set the Setting to Mass Storage and the Video Music couldn't transfer from the pc to the memory card. This phone I think it really suck compare the Sony. I had to delete the musics from the phone itself to put the video music in. hahahahahah it turned out the video music could play for couple seconds and it froze. All could hear was the music but the picture frozeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... Goddddd this phone is really suck.... I wasted $400 dollars for this stupid phone.

silent? you just hold down the hash key...# that one.. and it should vibrate and say quiet mode activated.. this means it will only vibrate. and to take it off just hold down the hash key again!

d600br: i started a thread about that here.

Johnny Green: Phones usually end up being decided by personal preference. Just find a local store that sells them and has some demos. Pick it up and see how it feels, and how it works. I can give you a list of problems, as most of the features can be found on this website. One thing for sure is that the chinese version, D608 crashes a lot or something. It also has a problem with the calender. Good thing I dont have that version.

craig: Samsung said something about that helping the phone save the battery life. It could just be a rumor, but thats what I read somewhere. sms tones are restricted to default tones. Doesnt affect me since my phone is always on vibrate. /shrugs

unknown: liking certain phones or not is a usually a subjective decision. True that this phone has problems.

              to unknown,,,,
please state these major software problems for us all to see..IT is imperative!! if you come on & say a statement like that it seems like you have a problem with the manufacturer rather than saying whats wrong about the phone. It also lets all the potential buyers to read about the problems OR if theres anyway of solving the problems you have with other users on the forum

hi, ive got this phone and generally i like it, but there are a few things it doesnt seem to do,
if anyone knows how to get it to...

display a clock on the screen after it has been closed [without having to press and hold the volume buttons]

assign an mp3/recorded file as a message tone....
                      suggestions and help welcome.

Lets all find out what firmware is ok, the date it was manufactured. Type *#8999*8378# and choose option 5, and find out what date your phone was built, then put your date AND firmware version (*#1234#) so we can see what firmware is latest and oldest.

Mine is: 08 Dec 2005 built, firmware D600DXEK4

Write the Day, then write your month with letters, not numbers, as around the world we use different formats for the date (eg DD/MM/YYYY here in Australia, but MM/DD/YYYY In the USA. So if we all write it like I did above, we will know the exact date no matter where we are reading from.

I'm guessing that considering my phone is just one month old, this is one of the newer firmware versions. I've had no battery issues at all like people with some previous versions have complained about.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to try and make this thread useful for people.

nadine: turn on ur bluetooth device, and turn on the bluetooth on the phone. If you cant find anything. Restart the phone, turning it off and on. See if it will find it now. Sometimes my phone wont connect or find any devices, so i just restart the phone and it works. If that doesnt work. im sorry, i cant think of anything else.

Ebayer: In order to activate to AD2P profile you have to play the music.
                                        1) start music player
                                        2) options
                                        3) play via
                                        4) a/v headset

Thats how i get the AD2P working on my I.Tech clip S 35. If that doesnt work, I'm not sure how you can get the AD2P profile working.

you can also check if your D600 has that profile, which im pretty sure it does.
                                        menu-> settings->bluetooth->bluetooth services
