Fran u can save a message by, when u have typed the message that u want u have the send menu come down. Do not press send but scroll dwn and hit save and send. This will put the message in the save d box :)

Not sure if any carriers in the US has this phone. You might have to ask around your area if you want it under contract. Find out how much they make with commissions and how much they are willing to part with in commissions for your new phone. If you dont have hook ups that provide you with this information, your guess is as good as any others since different places have different sets of commissions. A more popular place gets more commission cause duh! they sell more, but usually those places are located in high traffic areas with high rents to pay. If you have a friend that you can get hook ups, they can prob cut their commissions even more depending how good of a friend they are. They also go into the whole thing about how many lines you open and stuff. If you open like 5 lines and get like 4 crappy phones and then the D600 can prob be free.

anyone know what they are selling it for in the US WITH a contract? because i know without it'll cost $599 in the US.

Got the phone. When you ask is it out in America, do you mean out for T-mobile, cingular, etc? if so, no. If your asking if some company is selling it in america, then yes. try importgsm.com
I think someone tried asking if you can use mp3's as ringtones. Yes, you can. When you set your ringtones, instead of up and down go left. But it has to be mp3's on the phone, not on the transflash.
Hey fran. Did you try save and send? option 2. instead of just option 1, "send only".
Transfering files is simple, just install the software and drivers. It should be pretty much a no brainer from there. I suggest you get a transflash + transflash adabpter with a reader. Transfering files is a lot faster to the card instead through the usb. When transfering from phone to t-flash, it takes a while too.

you need to install the drivers too. not just the software.

Hey All,
I just got this phone and I think it's pretty awesome. I'm having some trouble using the Samsung software to transfer MP3's and other files. Are there any changes you have to make to the phone or the computer before you can successfully transfer the files??

*******PLEASE HELP*****
I have this phone and whenever I send a text it doesn't store it in the sentbox. I have spent hours looking through every menu on the phone but cannot find a way to get it to save the outgoing text messages. But if there is a sentbox then surely this is what its for? PPPPLLLLEEEAAAAASSSEEEEE can some expert help???
Also a very bad point about samsungs is that to put an apostrophe in a text you have to go into the symbols menu. Surely an apostrophe ' is used often enough to warrant being a symbol that comes up on one of the number keys!!
Otherwise top phone!!!

I agree, its out, yep Im sure it is. I have one in my hand from O2. I collect phones and this is one of the best. It is a phone which will do all but make the morning tea and clean your ****, well it may have that function as it has most others. For a phone with so many functions and is so compact I think it is a steal.
PS. Alot cheaper and worth alot more than the price of my 8800!
Beware Parot Car Kit owners as all car kit functions do not work.

i bought this fone the other day it is a fantastic fone it links 2 the tv aswell
but i cant seem 2 connect it to the computer does any one no how ive installed all the software it just doesnt work!?

I rang O2 today, they said it's available right now! I dunno whether to get that or wait till the 17th for Nokia N70...Any ideas anyone? Thanks

sean, i just went to an o2 shop to get an upgrade and they say they have it on their computer but not actually instore. they reckon it'l be about wednesday before its avaiable from o2 stores

just rang o2 for online customers, they say it is available for upgrades on tuesday. i think it is pretty poor that if you are already a customer you have to wait longer. what do o2 say? they reward their customers for stating with them, Ha!what a joke!

it is definately out, n its definately da best fone out! bluetooth is brill, camera is amazin! mp3 sound quality n loud everything u want in a fone even TV! arh this fone is just da best!! O2 do a gr8 deal £25 for 12 months! if u get this fone u will not be dissapointed wat-so-eva!!

If the o2 site does not have the phones, does that mean they have no branded the phones? For example: if i buy a o2 d600 from a website, will it come o2 locked or unlocked (because o2 hasnt branded them yet)?
