K750i = 144x176(QCIF) in 3GP format (cannot view video clips full-screen horizontally)
D600 = 352x288(CIF) in MPEG-4 format (can view video clips full-screen horizontally)

Here's my comparision between D600 & K750i
Camera: K750i obviously better than D600; although they both consist 2-mega pixel camera, K750i has AF and Macromode function.
Screen Resolution: D600 wins over K750i with QVGA display =76800 pixels, K750i = 38720 pixels. Twice as clearer than K750i's display.
Memory: D600's internal memory = 96MB + Transcend memory card (up to 512MB)// K750i's internal memory = 32MB + Memorystick duo (up to 512MB).
MP3: K750i uses crappy headsets, it uses fastport instead of the 3.5mm headset jack. It cannot play MP3 formats in 320kbps and above, extra bass in equilizer. While D600 can play MP3's in different format, better earphones, and the headset jack output doesn't wiggle like the ones used in K750i. D600 with dual stereo speakers, while K750i with monophonic speakers.
Other functions: D600 has TV-OUT function, which is a powerful utility to view video clips, images, and even play games through your remote TV screen (or LCD monitors). Someone below mentioned that D600 is "OUTDATED" without EDGE but that's deception, look at the specs. In addition, D600 has Picsel viewer, you can view HTML files, excel, powerpoint, word, etc.

No it doesn't. They're just the official specs, there is nobody getting NINE hours of talktime out of a K750i.

lol @ "outdated already."
The ONLY feature on the K750/W800 that is better is the camera. That's it. And there's only been a few shots taken with the D600 camera anyway so a full judgement can't be made yet.

Bryan if you look at the specs you will see that Samsung have included EDGE in this model so its not outdated, only thing missing is 3G! although the wait for this model frustrating and they will lose a lot of potential customers if they don't hurry up!!

Well I strongly believe tht every1 has his/her own personal opinion on EVERYTHING.The 1st phone u had an experience with is the phone u ALWAYS goin 2 believe in.Like Nokia was 1 of my 1st phones & up 2 2day i still believe that Nokia is the best.But...lets not avoid the fact that Samsung Is Def gettin there.BWARE NOKIA!!!JUST A THOUGHT + MY PERSONAL OPINION.

to post below,an absolute belting statement its gone to far past the point of bringing it out and the k750i has triple the battery life.this model really needs to be having an absolute minimum of 4 hrs talktime to have a chance under medium usage to get thru the day and this applys to all phones really.there is nothing worse at the moment whatever the phone boasts if you are continually hoping it wont run out of battery.Besides , i cringe all the time when these big models(3g as well)put a silly low milliamp battery in when even panasonic are putting in 1600 milliamp batts in & getting 10hrs talktime,sreously what use is 3hrs in 2005,i cant be bothered with any replies of disgust but in reallity its damn pathetic

Just keep it simple when making a decision. Really like samsung phones for being solid and deliver what they are made for, only this time it's "OUTDATED" !
No EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution)
Photos are evidently inferior to the Sony Ericsson K750i, Nokia N90
Hence even the SE W800 outruns this D600!
This phone should have been released a year ago, just after all the bugs discovered in the D500, then it would have been perfect. But now it's just an "outdated" upgrade.

I just want to note the differences between TFT-LCD and TFD-LCD.
For viewing animating video clips, TFT-LCD is much better...However, TFD-LCD, less power consumption and response is faster than TFT-LCD.
Recently, Samsung has made headlines by exploiting the UFS-LCD, which gives better angle-view and clarity than TFT-LCD. They say that UFS-LCD will be applied in mobile phones in near future (I hope so).
I would definitely go for Samsung D600 which is embarked with QVGA screen. Twice as better than Sonyericsson's K750i 220x170 TFT-LCD.

to phone_freak.... well everyone has an opinion, maybe see what Bob has written he also claims that the k750i is better!!! Ive had samsung phones, and to be honest I wouldnt go back to them, I had the samsung z500 and sent it back, wouldnt entertain another samsung phone in the distant future!

The difference between QCIF resolution(k750i) and QVGA resolution (D600) is unbelivable.. Once you see the QVGA screen
you'll never be able to use anything else.
Samsung especially has the BEST screen and that's one of the most appealing feature to me.. I dream of watching a high resolution video in my class lol Well, I've seen some QVGA phones out in Korea and that's why I'm waiting for this baby. And I know some other phones have QVGA resolution phones but it can't compare with Samsung's screen. It can't compare with D600's feature and design either.

The K750i has a pathetic low resolution screen, no file viewer, no cool form factor. Just an average phone. Buy it if you like, and you'll be sorely embarassed when your friends start swapping their lousy phones for a D600 and laughing at your pathetic purchase.
Let's face it, Sony spends so much on advertising, there's no way they can sell better product for the same price because you have to factor in all the marketing costs, especially the advertising (same with Nokia). But go ahead and buy junk, nobody will stop you.

the k750i isn't the same as the D600 for that person who thought it was.. the k750i doesnt exactly have Mpeg4.. and their designs are completely different. So please dont say that the k750i is better, just shut your mouth .. :]

If you like the look of this phones features then the sony ericsson k750i is the ohone for you, just got it the other day and already 3 of my friends want it, It is packed with features can have upto 2GB of memory which is the equivalent of a mini ipod and the sound quality is amazing. It also has a fm radio which finds the stations itself, the camera is 2mp which produces high quality photographs which can be printed out using the software on the phone! Not only that but it has a flash, and is packed with features for the camera! There is loads more features so why dont you guys check it out!!
