Hi
My cousin recently told me that when you make a call on this phone your voice sounds really distant to the receiver of the call. Is this true?

Dear Antonios... No special mp3 format needed for this phone to recognize the content. Use the normal mp3 format means if u want to format a song from cd to mp3 use jet audio 4.95 or 6. Better use the 1st one. Cause it format the song into 128 kbps & u’ll see the type written “mp3 format sound” by putting the cursor on it. This is the default type & support in all media player. But windows media player format mp3 in its own type which is “windows media audio file”. This is not a “default mp3 format sound”. Its “Windows” default windows media player & every media player has a link with it. That’s why in computer the extension shows it is mp3. This phone is only support the default type “mp3 format sound”. Putting any other format in the phone always shows u “content not supported”. Hope this will help u. Peace.

Does anyone know why I can't play all MP3 songs. I mean is there a special MP3 format for the phone? I mean if windows media player can play it, and the extension says MP3, why does the phone not play, and it says content not supported?

To Kel:
When you're viewing the contact info, select "edit", you'll see options to add name, cell number, home number, office number and fax, go down and you'll see etc, e-mail address and then the picture options, press "ok" and select the folder where the photo that you want to assign is, select it, and then select "save".
If you have any doubt, e-mail me and I'll send you pictures step by step.

To Kel:
After you've chosen the picture in "edit", select "save". You are not missing anything. Only thus you can use photo-call, because the info has to be saved in the phone, not in the sim card.

Well ever since I tried to install that program and upload games I haven't been able to connect to my phone & on top of all that I wasn't able to upload any java games to my phone either. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before. Is there a setting I have to switch back or something I missed. Pls someone help. I just want to get it working again. I have a d600e and I'm in Canada nobody here knows anything about the phone cause its not offered in Canada.
If anyone else had this problem and knows how to fix it please email me.

hey james using a 1gb sd card (memory card.) is as safe as using 512mb, it just meens that you can hold more data on the card, it should affect the operation of the phone.

hi i think this phone is great i used to have a motorola v545 but i thought the camera was crappy on that phone so wanted a new one with a gd camera, my friend had the D500 so i thought this one would be great coz the d500 was good. When i play videos the video appears really small about a quater of the size of the actual screen also when i download stuff of my pc to my phone it takes forever and most of the time says "file not supported" also the camera is not brilliant and the speaker is really quiet and when i put a photo as my background it dose not like take up the whole of the screen just a tiny bit with a load of white around it . I think its a good phone but needs loads of improving. if anyone knows how to sort some of the problems i mentioned please e mail me or just post it here on this website. cheers

Please can someone advise how safe is it to use 1GB memory cards for the D600? Should I stick with 512? I don't want to take any risks with a brand new phone which is amazing
Thanks Alex

Hello friends. Here is a tutorial for installing java on your Samsung D600 and the only way to do it. I found it on a forum. I've tried it and it worked. But everything that you will make, you will make it on your own. I am not responsible for any mistakes that you can make. Possible software malfunction may occur if your java program is not correct, badly written or has bugs.
1. Install and run SoftickPPP. When you get to the configure USB Share mode, choose the exclusive mode, (the software was intended for palm users so ignore & dont worry about any errors it gives you) DO NOT RUN YET
2.On your d600 go to "menu\applications\java world\options\network settings
In the "APN" box type "internet"
Leave both LOGIN ID & the PASSWORD boxes empty. Finaly disable the proxy settings & SAVE
3. Connect D600 to computer via USB cable and make sure is connected (Run the software you get with the fone to see if its connected but DONT leave it running while you use SoftickPPP) once connected run SoftickPPP it will appear as a running task on the tool bar, right click it and select "SETTINGS" then select the "BLUETOOTH/SERIAL" tab at the top, if the fone has connected propery it should have "COM7 \Device\ss_mdm0" with a box to tick, Tick that box & push OK
4. right click SoftickPPP icon in toolbar again an select "ACTIVATEPPP"
5. Run uploader.exe an add your jad file into it
6. On your D600 enter the code #*536963# to enable serial download (push C to leave that screen when done)
7. Enter code #*5737425# into your D600 to enter the download menu then select "PPP UP" and on the next screen select "USB" on the next screen select "SERIAL DOWNLOAD"
8. If you have a firewall you have to let uploader.exe & SoftickPPP have access to the internet
9. Once you finished enter the code #*536961#

To Robert.
Yes, you can.
To Bubbles.
This kind of software is modified unoffically by some group of people. I don't really know excatly how your phone will work. It cannot damage your hardware, but if you don't know what to do you may crash you firmware.
The best setting for the camera is AutoWhite. This option automatically adjust white ballance, but you may need to wait a little but until it get adjusted.
To priyantha.
Yes. This turns speakers on/off.
To deago78.
You must convert it to mp4 in order to be understood by telephone.
To eltoro.
Use bluetooth. It is easier and faster way to transfer files.
To Ravi Kandula.
You need special software and drivers. You must have a CD with your phone and a cable. I think you have been double-crossed, because it is business class mobile and it must have one. The CD contains everything needed.
To bill.s
This doesn't work on my mobile even after software upgrade.
To Maciek_PL.
It doesn't have an irDA. You may upload whatever you want.
Sometimes I also have problems with the signal in low-signal areas. It even happens rarely when I am in town where the signal is good.
