Hi.......everybody.......I m using dis phone for nearly abt 6 months approx.....and I m very much impressed.......satisfied.......with dis model.......Thanks 2 samsung.......and 1 request 2 samsung dat pls display some models with 3G Dual Sim partcularly....as soon as possible...

reaky this is a nice mobile set for who are having 2 sims and carrying 2 sets.
iam fully satisfied and recommond to others also one of my freind purchased today this set and iam using since last 10 months without any tech. problems.

Cathy, 21 May 2009Planning to buy this, when attending a call on the primary ... morehi cathy, when attending a call on the primary sim and someone calls you on your secondary sim - the second call will hear a 'ringing' tone (and not a busy tone), and on your side you will hear a 'beep beep' tone just like in a 'call wait'. now you can 'put on hold' the call on the primary sim and attend to your secondary sim - it is like a 'call waiting' feature. the two callers might be in two different networks or they can be in the same network - it does not matter! :)
why? because samsung put TWO TRANSMITTERS on the D780 -- each transmitter will work independently of each other. good thinking = great phone, love it :)

farida, 29 May 2009I just wanna ask whether Samsung D780 have Chinese language... morei think it has a chinese language - i can't read chinese thus i could not confirm if it is indeed chinese. if you have a chance to get a hold of a D780, goto -> settings -> phone settings -> language
in the language menu listed is a couple of languages, namely:
automatic, english, indonesia, tieng viet, arabic(not sure), japanese (not sure), chinese (not sure), bahasa malaysia

Anybody knows if its screen goes completely blank or displays clock/missed calls/received texts when the phone left idle for a few moments? Like Sleep Clock Mode in older SonyEricssons?? Cheers:)

I am using for last two months. It has no problem and battery is good for 2/3days if you buy new handset from reliable source or authorized by Samsung.
Only the size and keypad quality is not comfortable.
But overall it is good!

Planning to buy this, when attending a call on the primary sim and there is a call to secondary sim, will the second caller experience the mobile in engage or in ringing as both callers(First and Second) are using different networks? Can any one help me....

I'd like to reply on your questions for Sir Nasser, if you may:
a. does it hang not even once - i've been using my D780 for about 5months now, and it hanged/restarted itself for less than the number of fingers in my left hand ;) -- that's an average of 1once in about a month, pretty stable i say.
b. Does the battery works perfectly - on normal use, the battery would last for about 3-4days.
c. What about the dual sim, does it works simultaneously?? -- absolutely, both sims can recieve calls and SMS simultaneously but only the 'primary' sim will have the gprs access(email,websurfing). Thus, while talking to a friend using your 'primary' sim - your boss can call you on your 'secondary' sim (you may want to put on hold your friend to talk to your boss on this one. hehe).

Hi, Im filipino I bought this mobile Samsung D780 made in china cost 900 Riyals, I hope this mobile works perfectly Im using:
SIM 1 "ALJAWAL" saudi arabia telecom
SIM 2 "SMART" Simcard from philippine as a "ROAMING"
It works normally for me.
