Hi,
this is a Network Engg. from INDUS-Airtel, It's been one week, that I'm using this phone with DUAL SIM. Being a Network Engg. I'm having 1026 contacts, it's known that, in a minute lots of call is coming & going in my field. This is true the battery back-up of this phone 13 hours exactly but the it's of SAMSUNG-KOREAN make.
Dear All, it's depends on the user need. Phone is meant for communication, not for the fashion. Try to avoid using the functions like radio/camera/loaded ring-tones, later one will come to know about the battery back-up & talk-time.
Use the phone according to the need instead of cursing the Engineers.
Good phone without SFW.
SAMSUNG is providing their BEST..

The phone is cool and a breakthrough coz of the convenience but couldn't the engineers make the dialing possible from any SIM..,imagine you want to make an emergency call on SIM 2 then you have to select it as primary, reboot then come back again to dial.
This whole process was not necessary..,so please if you eng. are listening can they do something?

I am interested in the Samsung D780, I am sick of carrying two mobiles (business and pleasure thing).
However, I hear that dual SIM phones have "echo" problems on voice calls, usually on the SIM selected as the second or 'B' SIM.
Can anyone say whether this happens with the D780 or better still, does not happen...

i am using this phone for the past 3 months.its the worst phone that i never seen in my life time.so please dont release anymore phone like this.

I have use d 780 last three month . Its Superb phone.
I really thanks to all samsung engineer as well as all supporters & company . I have use two cards and both are working continuosly well.

pooya, 12 Jan 2009old samsung mobiles were fool!!! but new brands of samsung... moreWell i m using d780 since 1 month, and i hav'nt faced any problem using it. u can use 2nd sim for receiving, dialing, sending sms, but u cannot access internet with the 2nd sim. this is the only disadvantage. rest features r upto the market demand.

old samsung mobiles were fool!!!
but new brands of samsung are smarter than before!!
samsung works good in designing and specifications, but on dual sim mobiles there is one Big problem!!
that is: 2nd sim is just reciver!! you can't make a call or send a sms with 2nd sim!! just you have to switch between sims and phone will be restart and it will takes long in sim initial and totaly waste the time!!!
in averege samsung mobiles are very handsome,confortable and good in price and spicificatoins.
i enjoyed of my E330(old),E250,D880,F480,D780, and i will buy i8510 innov8 (monster)!!!
