Know a friend who has one, the slide action is sticky and feels very cheap! Not my kind of phone. Sony-Ericcson is the new Nokia :P

does this phone let you use your mp3's as ringtones? or does the software allow me to edit my mp3's and turn them into ringtones? can i create mp3 text message tones?

Already available on the market for long time, son. Why should we care if it's going to be available at T-mobile? The outside navigation & it's surrounding keys are not sensitive & hence difficult to press on this wide phone(horrible).

All the new generation Samsung phones have different design faults. They all feel cheap & look cheap & problems arise after a short period of regular use!

This is coming to US on T-mobile as T629, but as usual it wont have the same features.
Got FCC approval along with x820(which will be released as T519) in July. Cheers!

One more problem I found from D848, the LCD again, its viewable angle is POORER than D600 again.
Is it SAMSUNG using lower class LCD to lower the production cost???

no this is not the D900, this is the upgrade to the D820. u can find the D900 if u look at the samsung phones as well. the D900 has a 3.13mp camera and is 12.9mm vs. the D840 2.0mp camera and 11.9mm

i have serious doubts with the battery performances d800 which is the older version of this has 850 mAh but this one has 700 only what's going on samsung??
there are things that you shoudn't compromise and battery life is one of them.
God who cares if it's 2 mm thinner or not people still got to talk before minding their features and etc.

I tried it from shop.. so far alright, great design. However 2 MAIN problem I found..
(1) Slow card reading! I tried to read pictures and movie from my 1GB T-Flash, the reading files list is very slow!! Reading videos/pictures into player is very slow!!
(compare with Samsung D600, D600 around 4-5 times faster!!)
Any new firmware can fix this??
(2) The screen is very yellow!!! I hope you catch my meaning.. like, when showing a WHITE color wallpaper, my D600 shows WHITE, however, D840 shows more dark yellow...
(Of course I set the LCD setting already)
Any one can help??
I want to get D840, however, the card reading speed and the LCD made me disappointed :(
