Ooops, I solved my problem... My phone was set to be silent. Now that it's not silent I can set every desired mp3 as ringtone.

I have this phone and I am unable to set a mp3 song as ringtone. On the other hand I am able to set it as a specific caller id (ringtone for one person), or as alarm tone. In the options my phone just does not allow to set a mp3 song as a ringtone (that option exist, but it's colored in gray - the phone does not allow to select that specific option).
Help, anyone?

Hi. i have recently bought the d880. I am quite satisfied with it. The only problem I am experiencing is that java games, once saved into my 'other files' folder, are automatically saved and activated in the telephone memory.
If I go to settings-memory- there's no option to configure the saving of java games into my memory: has anyone solved it out? Thanks

how can i put all of my songs in the music player? useless to have 2gb memory card if not all of the songs will be included in the limited 4 playlists... help!!!

A J, 11 Jul 2008i have samsung d880 bt every time i go 2 see my inbox sms d... moretry to send a new message from an other mobile, do not open the message with view option. go to messages, my messages, inbox, after you read go to next messages using # key. some of the messages are blocking user interface and resulting restart of the phone. permanent solution is installing the software again. I believe samsung does free of charge for this kind of problems

I use a sim from HK 3 and a sim from China Mobile..both GSM and works fine.

does anyone knows if you can use sims from different providers?(e.g. 1 sim of vodafone and the 2 from wind?)

I just bought it yesterday. Works fine, has a nice computer software that u can control contacts, send sms etc.
Finally, a solution for professionals, who carry 2 phones all the time....

to download the MP3 songs.
Take the memory card out and transfer the songs directly.
I tried to use the samsung PC studio multimedia manager soft to transfer the songs..however..it cannot recongise the memory card..[weird]
Anyway..thats how i transfered the songs onto my phone. Hope that helps.

You can make mp3 songs UR ringtones by MUSIC->5. SET as 1. ringtones, 2. Caller ringtones, 3. Alarms. Though the manual is not helpful but a bit trying around with the phone can always solve all your problems. Try this code for increasing SPK VOL UP/DN *#0206*8378#

Am living in tanzania, i have enjoyed using samsung D 800. but the way how it is nice with 3mp camera, it is very discomfortable to use camera without flash. It is a challenge to samsung mobile that they should think to make better thing than the previous. Just imagine the long version like D500 had flash how comes this beutiful and new version made without camera? Samsung think big.
