contacts an be saved in the phone or sim. i save it in the phone so that i could access it any time (any lines).

hi temmy, there is a button in the left hand of the phone that u could press to switch between lines for both sms & calls, so u need not booth & rebooth the phone. I have just found out about it today at the hand phone dealer after using it for nearly 6 mths as the manual does not say anything about it inlcuding any short cuts.

I intend to buy D880 but dont actually know how reliable it may be.
I hope i will not need to reboot before switching from one network to the other?
Are all contacts saved on one sim or how?

Good phone but how do we switch off the acknowledgement sound after a message had been sent or profile selected/changed. Can anyone tell me how to switch off the sound pls? Can be quite annoying in a meeting.

hi eveybody. i am planning to buy D880. i read all the comments,some say that the rebooted to change to secondary sim and others say that it can be done by pressing sim change button. can this prob be corrected by installing new firmware? please help me out

this phone is great, 2 different network works at d same time, no need to use other celfone.. But when sending pictures/videos from my laptop via bluetooth to my samsung and trying to locate the file which was sent to my celfone, i cant find it.im using micro sd card. can anybody teach me how to and where to find it. i tried going to camera under gallery but seems nothing is there, and i tried also looking at the my files menu nothing exist. what seems to be the problem.thank you please advised. 09228750765

There is a serial bug on the software.
All my cntacts are on one sim card.
When looking for a contact to call, by pressing "T" I am lead to all names that start with "T".
The bug is, when one sim card is disabled, and I press "T", I see only one contact whose name starts with "T". When I go down, it jumps to names that start with "Z".
Did anyone notice? Is there a update?

Hello i bougth D880 , when a call come to sim 1 & i didnt reply it transfer to voice massege recorder after end the call screen displays " saved " & an icon of voice masseging continousely appear at center top of screen , i didnt able to find these types saved calls & i also unable to find any record of these calls in missed cals and recived calls , if any body can help me please ? reply me here or manfromblue@hotmail.com , i am waitnig for your reply

And many other say otherwise, that you simply need to press the side button before pressing the green button. With mine it's exactly like that; perhaps Samsung made 2 different firmwares? One that allows making calls from the secondary SIM and another that doesn't? It puzzles me that so many people insist they have to reboot their phones to place a call from the secondary SIM. It's hard to believe they are simply dumb! It's got to be more than that.

When the secondary sim is highlited, then just press the green/call button. This procedure is also apply when you send messages.

However, to make calls or send messages, you have to decide which sim to use by pressing the sim switch button, (located on top of the volume button) before pressing call or send button. Yet, you can not use both sims at the same time, that's impossible!

Yes, call is coming from both sim card, your choice is from which sim you will make call, default again by your choice or by presing one side butonn to change second sim to make call.Your voice can be recorded and make it ringing call or answering machine work also perfect
