@RYAN
thanks! wow you got your phone way cheap=)So you have to choose which sim to send the reply message to? does it have a setting wherein you do NOT have to choose anymore (so that you reply with the same sim #)?
(I want a phone that won't make me choose anymore if that's possible).
Also can you assign different text message tones to each sim? since i've read you can assign different ringtones to each sim. thanks in advance!

@Gee
UNIT: Unit flew in from SG thru a friend. He charged me only PHP14k (equivalent) vs. market price of almost PHP20k.
SMS: After composing the message/reply, you can choose from what SIM to send from. So answer to your question, YES.
@paanopo
A button at the left hand side of the phone enables you to select from which SIM one calls or SMSs when the option comes along...
Hope this helps.

@tooth
How much did you get it from the Philippines and where did you buy it from?
Also if a text comes in from your sim1 and when you reply does it automatically send your reply thru your sim1? Or the phone lets you choose from sim1 or sim2?

Just got the phone recently here in the Philippines and it works fine. Contrary to the other posts - BOTH SIMS are active and you can make calls and SMS on BOTH SIMS without rebooting. It's only when you want to send email, MMS, and other message formats from your SECONDARY SIM that you need to reboot.
I think those people who have problems with the dual sim function should check out if their territory allows such. I reckon that the FCC in North America has limited the feature (pending their approval), hence, the inability to use such.
Hope this sheds light on those who keep on complaining that it doesn't work.

Nice idea, but poor implementation. I use the DUOS in Russia with Russian Beeline SIM and US AT&T SIM. US SIM very often has no signal. Both SIMs can receive calls but you can only call or send SMS from the "Primary" SIM. When you change Primary SIMs, the phone restarts. In standby mode battery only lasts about 2 days, with heavy talking, browsing, etc. way less. Already been to repair shop once due to overheating (and battery lasting 30 minutes).

@Laban
U.re wrong, it doesn.t matter if it has DUOS logo or not...U don.t have to reboot, just dial the number an then press the little sideway button and select from what sim U want to make the call...that.s it

Guys,
Its official as far as i know and as per the sells man at Samsung in Egypt.
Last Week the D880 was released in the Egyptian market but unfortunately without the Duos logo on the screen i.e. have to reboot to call from Sim2. on the other hand in Dubai market the same mobile was released but with the Duos logo were u could call from any sim without rebooting.
therefore take care and get the one with the logo
please correct me if im wrong.

I'll get my d880 in two days. It is now sold at Phone House ín Belgium, by Expansys and by a lot of web sites so it should not be a problem to get it in Western Europe. 2 year warranty applies.
Has somebody tried using the d880 with a computer for browsing, either over USB or Bluetooth? I earlier had a Samsung Z500, it was great over USB but never worked over Bluetooth. Internet connection simply wasn't implemented.

I purchased my D880 from Phonesource USA, and did not notice that it says that the dual sim is not compatible in the U.S.! I was told it will work in the Caribbean and Asia, but NOT in the U.S.! I was informed that there is a phone made in China that will work in the U.S., but it isn't FCC approved therefore they can't sell it to me.
