          @Fernando and Alex,
It seems you do not understant, but samsung will not bother to explain it to you because you really cannot understand.

it the secondary sim card which can only receive call and text messaging, only the secondary SIM card is restricted with WAP or other functions other that mp3, camera and games functions.Take note other than mp3, camera or other multimedia functions.

          to Fernando,

Pls, you are not one of the person who possess this kind of phone, pls refrain from posting wrong information.

          to alex,

          I hope you understand now.

              Hello!

This is what I found on the Samsung website:

              "Functions

Master SIM: Tri-band with full phone functions
Slave SIM: Dual-band with call & SMS capability only
              ..."

So, doesn't this mean that the Slave SIM is also active and can receive/make calls/SMS but without any other function?

              The link is here:

              http://sg.samsungmobile.com/en/phone/phone_view/phone_function.jsp?p_pfid_1=SGH-D880

"You have to explain the number 3 posting. Make some any sense."

I have reviewed both handsets and point 3 word by word but didn't find discrepancies between what I wrote and the handsets I have in hand. Can someone from GSMarena or Samsung & WND help me confirm the features please?
As it was announced by Samsungmobile -I'm a samsung fan myself- (you can check their website) the D880 is a 'Dual Standby' handset. Yes it’s a dual SIMs, yes it activates two cards simultaneously, only one is primary & therefore:

'You cannot make a phone call, send SMS, read Sim card SMS, from a Line unless it is set as primary - You are only allowed to select one of the two sim cards as primary. You can set a sim card as primary either from the Settings or from the shortcut button on the left. The unit will have to be automatically restarted as soon as the primary card is changed.'

For those who are interested in pictures for both handsets side by side or even the software manual (Samsung or WND) please post your email here and I will forward them to you.

The wnd 2200 and 2300 is stupid design -.-""
i think samsung is better, for the dua rite, i thing the design is just like, u stick 2 handphone wif superglue.. and the charger and accesories is difficult to get. And the duos doesnt support all type of mp3..... crazy phone.... believe me, the duos suckssss

                        @Fernando,

You have to explain the number 3 posting. Make some any sense.

But I know you do not have the unit or wife for that matter.

I have checked the url that you have entered (home shopping site) and I don't see any discrepancies with what I wrote!
Which point do you disapprove so that I post explanation accordingly?

I have purchased a Samsung Duos SGH-D880 for my wife & compared it with my Wind Duo2200 I got recently and here is what I can tell you:

0- I paid less for the Samsung
1- The Samsung gift box does not contain any external storage card (vs. 2x1GB for Wind Duo2200)
2- The SGH-D880 unit is very bulky and weights more than the Wind Duo2200
3- On the Samsung, you cannot make a phone call, send SMS, read SIM card SMS, from a Line unless it is set as primary - You are only allowed to select one of the two sim cards as primary. You can set a sim card as primary either from the Settings or from the shortcut button on the left. The unit will have to be automatically restarted as soon as the primary card is changed, whereas on the WND you can make/receive calls and send SMS from both lines without having to make any switch or restart your unit.
4- Unlike with the Wind Duo2200, on the Samsung you can’t conduct/rceive two calls from the two SIMS at the same time (you can even conference on the WindDuo)
5- Contacts: Total 1000 phone contacts (vs. 2x1000 on Duo2200)
6- One contact list for both SIMs on the Samsung Duo880 compared with a choice of two or one combined list on the Wind Duo2200 (I like this on the Wind bcs I can separate between my professional and personal contacts)
7- Samsung Camera is 3MP vs 2x2MP cameras on the Wind Duo
8- Samsung screen is larger than a single screen on the WND
9- When comparing the same screen surface, WND resolution is higher
10- PC Synchronization software on the Samsung is more user friendly than on the WND
11- SMS: Total 200 SMS vs 300 on WindDuo
12- One call history on the SGH-D880 compared to a choice of 1 or two on the WindDuo2200
13- Samsung is a single side sliding bar, WND is a dual face bar
14- Both are made in Korea
15- All other options like MP3 player etc.. are almost the same on both units.
16- The quality of construction is higher on the WND (the unit looks much more expensive)
I chose the WND whereas my wife who is very much brand oriented (like major wives ;) picked the Samsung. A decision that in my opinion she would soon regret :)

I am using it with 2 sim cards (one national and one from other oversees contry) without any problem. Both are working together, I can receive message from the oversee Sim and reply using the local sim...I find it great so far...
