nice solid phone, hold # to activate silent mode, no fm radio and battery life lasts about a day two days with normal/heavy use, screen hasn't cracked, but take care of this expensive piece of hardware

SANN. To change incoming call tones, you must go MENU 9 4 1 . Highlight Ringtone and press OK button. Then you can change it. Same idea for message tones.
The red icon on your screen - is it bottom right ?? Is it the Vodafone logo ?

Hi this phone is simply top notch, no doubt about that. But i got a problem with the silding mechanisim, its not as smooth as it should be,(my gf D900 spring is very smooth) went to care centre to get it done, things turn out quite well but they void my warranty for it. now the problem comes back again, wondering can i change it to a new one or get it done without having to pay for it!

to silence the kaypad go to the front screen of the d900, and use the volume control at the side to lower the volume, this will silence the key pad.

hi to all samsung fans arround the world!! i bought my d900 a week ago...the phone is great(battery is the main problem to everyone but it will be better if you recharge it for 2 hours after it goes dead),i recommend it to all.........one question please - when you put the memory card(1GB)in the phone-does it work like before,i mean the phone??thanks

Can anybody tell me why i have a little red icon on my display although i dont have blue tooth enabled and there is no memmory card.

to change the phone to a quiet mode, just press and hold the key # and it will be changed. and to change it back, do the same procedure.

Thanks maxima, i am able to mute my keypad sounds BUT plz tell me how can i change my incoming call tone and message tone as it is shaded. Thanks

i have just bought this fone and my tone in sound settings is shaded and i am unable to change the tone in my incoming call menu.Please tell me how to resolve this problem

the phone looks great. the features are great...except 3 things. sound is not loud enough, camera really sucks (i guess the flash is way too weak and small). 3rd thing is battery is too weak. i have to recharge it every day cause i am using it for business and private use and somehow its not made for business use or i will have to use about 4 batteries :(. but all in all i still prefer samsung...not only cause i am korean :D

MEGAN. They say Sandisk Transflash 1GB Memory card works best. Apparently that is the maximum you can use in this phone. ( Won't take 2GB )

Well said BAGOU. For the 1001th time, if you go MENU 9 3 6 1 and change font type from Theme to Normal, Keypad tone ( 9 4 2 ) will no longer be shaded out, and you can make your own adjustments. Enjoy this superb mobile.

for keypad tone,stop asking 1000 times the same question everybody,learn to search,it's been asked 100 times in this forum,you have to use the volume keys when on root screen,the first screen that appears when you open the phone,with the wallpaper

Can someone tell me how to turn off the keypad tone, i've looked in settings and sounds but the keypad tone option is greyed out and wont let me change it.

bought mine 5 days from now and it's already been sent back because the slide mecanism is a little crappy,hope they'll send a new one
the camera is really disappointing,as it needs 3 to 5 seconds to take a picture,which means not moving during 3 seconds,which means all photos are blurred,
and most of al,the keyboard which is reaaally bad,the keys have no feeling at all ,they are made of the same plastic that the rest of the keyboard ,and don't click at all,which means a reaaaally bad feeling.( my D900,as a lot of other apparently,is different that the one in the picture on this site,it's all black,no chrome or grey,all black)
except for these details,it's a great phone.
