my battery only lasts a few days, even with the theme turned off & having just received only 1 phone call. 300 hours standby, i don't think so!

have been using the d600 for almost a year now am quite satisfied with the phone, i'm not a heavy user so dont really care about smart phones and was wondering whether it's worthy to get the d900, is there any real improvements or this is just a flatter version of the d600?

Mike: Does anyone know if this phone is capable of music streaming via bluetooth? apparantally an A2DP profile is needed, whatever that means! i'm looking to use it with the Motorola HT820 bluetooth headphones if anyone knows if they are compatable? thanks
Answer: Yes, it does have the A2DP bluetooth profile and it means you can listen music to a stereo bluetooth headset.

                To Andrew:

When you lower the volume in standby mode, it only affects the keypad volume, and not the ringtone volume.

William I am having the same problem as you. Most of my files appear on the phone but some are not there. Some people have been comlaining about the brand of card being used. I have a Sandisk card on the way so when I get it and put it in I will post back to tell everyone if it works fine or not. At the moment I have a Kingscard brand one. You wouldnt think it would be the card though.

Anyway Ive been playing with the phone alot. The camera is brilliant. It doesnt take the most colourful and bright shot but it is clear. All it takes is a little editing on the computer and the photo is excellent. The flash is good for close ups in a dark room but not for lighting up a whole room. However the close ups can be edited and dont look too bad. The phone is a little slow when dealing with photos and music but not as slow as some phones ive had. Just learn to be that little bit more patient. When navigating through the rest of the phone it is very fast.

The volume of the ringtones can be good if you can find the right tune. I added a whole heap of songs to my phone and then went through them to find which one was loudest. Some are quiet but some were very loud. The one I chose is loud enough to hear in loud conditions. There was no need for me to adjust the settings of the volume. The graphics are excellent. The slider can be opened with one had. The keys are easy to use but someone with chubby fingers might find it hard to type with the bottom row of the keypad. Now that I know how to use the phone properly I am loving it. Would recomend it.

The d900 phone works great with Cingular in the US. I got every function (internet, MMS, etc) to work. I know some people had issues, but you have to enter the correc carrier info in the phone and you're good.

Ahhhhh I figured it out haha. Im an idiot. Sorry. Alright so I have now figured out this phone. It took a little getting used to because I have come from a Motorola.

Got the card to work the folders are all mixed up and different in the Smasung compared to my old Motorola so I couldnt find the files thats all. So that defeats the theory that only sandisk cards can work. BUT I cant get the keypad tones to shut the f**k up. Tried turnig off the theme but didnt work. And If you turn down the sound how are you meant to hear a call coming in?

I only got this phone today so I cant really write a ful on review yet. I was wondering If anyone else had this problem: I have a non sandisk 256 memory card and I inserted it alright. But when I go to my files and to sounds and to memory card it doesnt show anything on there. When I go to memory card status it shows that space is being used on the card but the phone wont show what is on the card. Is anyone else having this problem? Is it the card or my phone?
                                  Thanks.

I wish it had better skins. It only has black or white... D600 has nicer icos too, and skins where more vivid than D900... bummer.

For those who find the keypad tones annoying, you do have turn it off.

If you are having problems with the "greying out" of the keypad tones, that's because a theme is being activated. Turn the theme off and the option will be available.

Another way to get around it is to turn down the volume of the keypad to 0 (silent). To do that as per all the newer Samsung phones, just press the volume down button all the way during standby.

                                        Hope this helps.... :-)
