How can I switch to EDGE or GPRS??
I cant find it on my D900!!
with my old BS-EF81 i can choose the Gprs but now I cant!
And how can I download a new firmware on the D900, I downloaded a new one from the net but its 70 MB file!! how can I transefer it to the D900??

SAMSUNG has a very good reputation here in asia specially. The picture and display quality are in comparable.... asia's cellphone market was dominated by nokia few years ago but samsung's skyrocketing sales and recognition has caught nokia top managers' attention. nokia now is threatened by excellent service and good quality products of samsung (cellphones).. Mentioning that Nokia is widely penetrated by the black market and the syndicates had widely faked nokia from a tiny screw to a cellphone casing. But with samsung, Korea's inginuity prevailed because samsung products specially cellphones are not copoed or faked......
Go on smasung..... keep on advancing....

the phone automatically shifts from EDGE to GPRS depending on the strength of the signal. E appears on the upper right when EDGe is available and G when GPRS is available. most of the time, it opts EDGE since its faster, but when EDGE signal is weak, it shifts to GPRS......... thats a very cool function and I think all other brands are the same also ........

Yesterday my wap browser was working ok,
but today internet is slower and response to up and down arrows is so bad that it's realy annoying...
wap browser version is 6.2.3.3.c.1.102
My brother has D600 and same version but internet and browser are working ok..
And is there any option so i can select between EDGE and GPRS internet??

I am supposed to be getting the D900 for christmas but i've been taking it from my moms hiding place and playing with it, its awesome, way better than any other samsung i've had

re to get the senders name when recieving message.
You must have the same number twice in your phone, have you copied the numbers from sim to phone? if yes thats you problem you have 2 copies of it

Liz,
the design of the phone is reall eye-catching,.. if you are one of the users in which features are not considered as the main importance, then this phone is really the best for you...
2SUM:
Optical Zoom will simply destroy it's elegance... this is not a camera centric phone like the K800 or N93, but D900's camera performs better than N93 though... Optical Zoom would require larger size case so that sensor won't be affected(though N93 is already big, still it is disappointing sensor is smaller and worse, due to the wrong camera sensor location unlike sharp 903 and others).. imagine how bricky this device will be if they put optical zoom in it's back... this will never gonna be a ULTRA SLIM phone,.. perhaps, call it ULTRA FAT phone... isn't it bad?

Hi, Can someone assist, when I receive text messages it only comes up with the senders number, it does not recognize the name of the sender, even though the number isstored on thesim or phone. I cannot find a setting that will pick this up, Frustrating as i do not know who is sending the message.

wow guys.. after reading all your comments on what I thought looked like a gr8 phone.. is it really worth it? I really would appreciate some feedback cos by reading wat u guys say, it sounds more like a headache than anything else and my last phone gave me enough of those!!!
