i hear to use a larger micro sd card in your phone only have to reformat it on your pc (with a card reader) and then your d900 will also see the large card.
so no need to reset your phone at all!

Cat you mentioned you can't get the keypad tones off wihtout turning it off silent, you need to go to 'dialling display' in settings and take it off theme then it allows you to take off keypad tones.
There are things which annoy me about the phone, in the text input new sentences don't default to start with a capital letter. The camera button i keep accidently pressing whilst txting, you can't have the themed number input wihtout the ridiculous keypad tones. When you put a new word in the dictionary when texting it doesn't automatically replace the word you were trying to spell and you have to go back and delete both words. The flash on the camera is appaling especially as the ericssons have such good flashes.
I also have an E900 and the D900 has about a days more battery life in it. The d900's slide also seems less 'wobbly' but that may just be mine. The E900 is better looking and doesn't have the annoying block bit at the bottom, makes the slide easier and the e9-- is generally more comfy in your hand as its not so wide. Generally very similar phones. D900 has less inbuilt memory.
Could have gone for k800 which is really a better phone, but the d900 is just so nice looking, so slimand so much more practical with the slide and slimness that there isn't enough in it to go for the k800 over hte d900 only go for the k800 if u really want the camera.
I mean the d900 has a background where the sky does darker as night comes, what more could you want! When you've seen hundreds of phones, an mp3 players an mp3 player but a changing background with the time is pretty cool. Missing the heat sensitive buttons on the e900 tho

Hi!
I've discovered a better way to get the phone to recognise the 1GB Kingston SD Card. Here's a step-by-step guide:
*Warning: 1) The resets will erase your photos and settings, so do back them up first in a PC. 2) The following methods worked for me, though I must add you're trying the codes at your own risk ;) FYI, I'm using the D900DXFG5 version*
1) Do a custom reset by pressing *2767*2878#
2) You will see a white screen with the message 'E2P custom reset'.
3) The phone then restarts. You should be able to access your card now.
4) By doing the custom reset though, the GPRS function (denotated by a blue 'G' icon)is also activated. To deactivate it, press #*7288#
5) You will see a white screen with the message 'GPRS detached'. After a while, the annoying blue GPRS icon will disappear. Press the red 'end call' button to get back to your original screen.
That's about it! Prior to trying this, I did a full reset with *2767*3855# followed by #*7288# to deactivate the GPRS. After the two steps, the phone failed to recognise the card. However, I tried the custom reset followed by the GPRS deactivation, and the phone now reads the card like a charm.

To the one who enquired on how to do a hard reset:
*Warning: You will lose all your photos and settings by doing the reset, so do save them into your computer first*
I did a full phone reset by entering the code *2767*3855#

I got this phone sent out to me a few days ago and my initial imoression was very good. The screen is crystal clear, it's very sleek and well built. However after using it for a few days I love and hate the damn thing at the same time and I'm contemplating sending it back!
The screen and the whole phone get covered in fingerprints very easily, and because the matt effect of the phone, it looks like it is covered in grease.
It only comes with one theme, which is ok but as far a as i can see you can't change it.
The menu is either black and orange or white and orange, that's your choices.
The scroll button to go through the menus makes this very annoying sound. The only way to stop it is to put your phone on silent!
Generally you cant customise it that much, and as ,much as I love the camera and the look of it after a sony ericsson it's not lived up to my expectations. I thought I wanted a top of the range handset but this isn't it. Samsung, stop the stupid menu beeps and let me customise it. So, I'll probably get somethin I know and trust. Want a N73 but its too dear on my student budget, probably get a K610i or W810i even though they don't have shutters on them.
I'll be disappointed to send this back, but I thin 12 months of beeping and all the things that bug me about it will drive me to insanity.
Overall- OK if you're a big fan of Samsung.
