ive just put a 1Gb card in my D900 and it works fine. But does anyone know how to copy music directly to the memory card and not via the phones memory?
The samsung pc software only shows the phone memory and it wont let me copy large files over, eg dj sets etc.
Thanks

Koureas G, on mine the battery life is great, with 2 hours of calls in total, some java playing, sms, alarm i got 4 days, from the first charge, will better after a couple of more. Currently it is 4th day, i use it barely and battery still shows Full. I think your network is maybe not good or something else affects your battery life.
Everyone else with stupid questions, either do search on the comments or RTFM.

Battery life lasts for a day and a half with 1 hour of calls, some texting and usage of alarm only.Standby mode is three days.
Samsung announced that they are not going to increase battery capacity on this model.(only 800mAh)
What is your opinion about voice clarity, bell and speaker sound quality?

When I send an SMS on this phone I cant tell when it was sent. Can anyone else see this? Theres no option to see the message properties. It seems to work fine on the Inbox so you can tell when you receive one but I cant tell when I send stuff. Even when connecting to PC studio it cant tell when message was sent.

d, in order to use full capacity of the battery you will need to charge/discharge it at least 3 times. Mine works at least 4 days on standby, but in two weeks i only charged it twice, so cannot judge just yet, samsung claims to have 6.5 hours of talk time and i think they may be right. Also, reduce the brightness that what kills any phone.
For those people who want to know usual question and quite lazy to read all comments here the list of features included:
+mp3 as ringtone
+video Id and Photo Id for caller
+ring and vibrate
+use mp3 player in background mode
+Living World - great feature
+sliding can accept/end calls
+possible to view images full screen
+record video up to 352x288 resolution
-no mp3 for sms
-no automatic saving for sent messages
-no ability to run java in background

I just got the D900 phone in the last few days. Now I have always had Nokia's for a long time and my last was the 6230 a very reliable phone. For my upgrade I first recieved the SE K610i (red version) which I must say has a great design, is slim and feels good in your hand. However, there are some fundamental problems that I found with the SE operating system. First when you get in the call log you can't see the number of the contact and there is no time for when the call was recieved/made/missed. Second to exit any part of the menu/ software available on the phone, one has to press the 'return button'! Very frustrating when wanting to make a call straight away. So overall a thumbs down for the K610i and I sent it back!
The D900 on the otherhand has lots of great features. The design is beautiful, there are no open holes at the top or bottom for dust to get into (except the mike and speaker). The screen and colours are superb! and for those of you that like games you even get sega games like sonic and tetris but they look exactly like they did on the old hand helds, amazing! The user menu is excellent, watch out Nokia!
The camera on this phone isn't bad, has the usual lags like the majority of these camera phones; great camera interface and short cut buttons and cool fun features such as frames, 8 or so effects and flash (although not very strong). It does have some problems as well such as when creating your contacts you can add there birth date to their details, however, this does not seem to copy to the calendar. Can anyone help me with this??
And yes finally I must say the battery life is pretty terrible and last maybe a day and half with little use but extensive usage of the camera and features with suck the battery dry much faster! I shall not be sending this phone back tho, it's simply irresistable...so i guess naturally my next question would be does anyone know where I can get a spare battery for this phone??

KoureasG, i don't know what you are talking about, the battery life is better then my nokia 6630, yes it is lacking some of the functionality but i don't see a reason to wait for 3G phone as i am not sure if something will change.
besides, in order to low the key tones all you need is to decrese volume at standby (use the side buttons).

D900 is a phone of luster and misery.
Great design and style, nice graphic design menu but unfortunately lacks many basic functions and battery life, voice clarity and bell is below than D600.
If you want a phone with the same design and style but with 3G,150 mb storage, vga video, save your money and wait for the next 3d generation "ultra" 13.5mm "joy" edition which is expected the first days of December.
If you want to turn off the keypad tone here is a tip:
If you go to "Dialing Display" and change from theme to font you will be allowed to acess the currently "greyed out" keytone menu item.

@ pete
My comment on reliability is general on Samsung phones and i think D900 has got most of the things that fits the criteria. There are downfalls but that applies to every phone.
However,as i said before is better than K 800 and N73 in particular which has software problems. I don't think anyone would be happy settling with an 18 month contract and knowing the phone they have is not reliabile,( software etc....).
