Hi!I'm trying to install .jad &.jar files on my D900 but whenever I install the JAD or JAR file, "the file is unsupported format error " shows up! I've checked the compatibility of these softwares and it's not the issue, it won't install any of these files.
I'm downloading these softwares jad and jar files onto the computer putting them on the memory card and installing them from there. I've also tried copying them to the other files folder of the phone and installing them from there, but no luck!
Thanks.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Usman, I shall try the applications later and shall write back.
Regarding messiah-2, I could decrypt my files using the recovery application sent by the developer through mail. Anyhow, messiah-2 is not working as smooth as messiah-1 in my phone. I shall try re-installing the app.

To Yute:
Your 3gp video file size is too large. This may be the reason. Split 3gp video file into 2 parts with the help of windows based freeware software called "YAMB". You can download it from here:
http://yamb.unite-video.com/download.html
Install it into your PC and proceed. Then transfer these splitted 3gp videos into your memory card and try to play these. Hope it will work!

To Rajesh:
"Messiah2" is working properly on my E200. Also Opera Mini 4.0.9800 final version is working fine on Samsung E200. I have installed D900 compatible version from here:
http://www.operamini.com/download/pc/samsung/samsung_d900/
It means that D900 has compatibility problems with some JAVA softwares. And yes, MobyExplorer has no "MOVE" option! If you want "MOVE" option for files in a file manager then try this file manager named "Opera Mini 1.2 Modified". You can download it from here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/32851115/bc56513e/Opera_Mini_12_ModifiedM.html
Zip file has JAD/ JAR files. Install it on your D900.I have installed it on my E200 mobile. This is an unofficial modified version of Opera Mini (for JSR 75 API supported phones) with a lot of enhancements like view JPG images in FULL SCREEN, text file reader + text editor with copy/paste words within a file, clear clipboard, write to file, etc. Select a file and you can see these options: Move, Copy, Delete, New Folder, Rename, Hidden files, Into bookmarks etc. I have successfully moved files from memory card to "My Photos" and "Other Files" folders of phone.I think, its file manager can compete with Mini commander or even MobyExplorer. It has "Save pages" option but not checked yet.It also has some bugs. Check these features!

JY, open the movie in pc studio movie editor. Select rendering, select 3gp, and save it. This will correct any incompatibility of data rate, frame rate or audio format. Still not working, then consider splitting into 2 parts. you can use pc studio for this

Usman, I have been using the older version of messiah without problems. I have recommended it through my D900 guide also, as you know. But it is the new version that causes problems. I tried my best but cannot recover my encrypted files now. Don't know whether this is an issue of D900 with messiah version-2. That is why I did not recommend it through this forum or my guide. I got a reply mail from Atul Alex Cherian, the developer, with some suggestions for recovery, but no better. He has promised to send me a recovery app, waiting for that.
Btw, Moby explorer has no 'MOVE' option? (only copy?)

To Rajesh:
This is really good news. You can also copy external images into "My Photos" folder of phone though "Mobyexplorer" software.
I am using "Messiah2" software without any problem. It has real encryption method ( no rename file process). You can only recover your files through this software because if you see on PC, the encrypted folders of memory card shows as EMPTY (no files at all). While "Mobyexplorer" can show you the encrypted files so after copied to another folder and renamed , it shows "Unsupported content" on phone and on PC, access is denied for these renamed files. So, you can see how strong encryption method this "Messiah2" software uses.
You can read complete encryption & decryption method of "Messiah2" software from this page:

....USMAN AND ALL D900 USERS....
I have successfully installed moby explorer ! Just tried the basics. Great application. And now EVERY IMAGE IN D900 CAN BE ZOOMED, VIEWED FULLSCREEN, ROTATED AND ZOOMED IN FULL SCREEN !! Just copy images to OTHER FILES folder using Moby Explorer and the fun starts(Also refer tip 34 of my guide: http://www.4shared.com/file/17666838/f607f4d/D900-TIPSTRICKS2.html ). Those who want to install this, don't adopt wap download, this may not work. Download Jar and Jad files from the link given by Usman in the below post. For usb installation, see this page:
http://usmanafzal.110mb.com/doc/Install%20games%20on%20X700.pdf
Sorry to say that those who have choosed D900-i over D900 may have to regret now because this makes a huge difference between these models. Any image in this phone can now be viewed full screen and zoomed. USB installation is not possible in D900-i.
(Btw Usman, take care with messiah-2. I had already tried it, but have been put myself in trouble! I can't now decrypt any file. I'm afraid that they are lost ! I have mailed to the author and waiting for reply.)
D900 guide will be updated soon with all these info. Now I can remove the last paragraph of Tip 34 which is quoted below :
"......The only difficulty is that you can transfer the photos to other files, only via pc. I can’t find yet, a way to copy images from My photos to other files directly. Perhaps you can!"
And I knew that somebody will find a way ;)
Thanks, Usman!

To Rajesh:
I have tried to download "MobyExplorer" on my mobile but it showed "Install Error" message. So, i download JAR file from the getjar site link that you have mentioned and made JAD from this. then it was successfully installed. This is 20 days unregistered version 3.0 but i think you can use it forever if you uninstall it before 20 days and again install it. All freatures are fully enabled (as i know). I will include a detailed review on my website soon. I can see all files/ folders of internal/external memory of mobile from this software. I can read / edit text files from this software along with these options:
Edit, Save, Save As, Save As Encrypted, Find, Full Screen, Preferences etc.
To open any file, press "5" numeric key or center "OK" navigation key TWO TIMES. Although, text editor is slow. To use Menu options, select the options like:connect, Edit, Actions, Protect etc and press "6" numeric key. Then press "OK" center key.
Rajesh, this is the phone explorer that you are looking for. Because i have successfully copied images from "My Photos" folder into "Other Files" folder of phone through "MobyExplorer". But my E200 does not open image due to absence of picsel viewer. You can open it in your D900 easily.
You can Encrypt and ZIP/ UNZIP any kind of file. There are more features available but i have only used this software for 30 minutes. You can explore more features. This is the downloading link of "MobyExplorer" software that i have uploaded as ZIP file (just unzip it and you can see JAR & JAD files):
http://www.4shared.com/file/32664821/d5b316f9/MobyExplorer3.html
Please inform your experience about this software with Samsung D900.

USMAN, here's a feedback
Another useful contribution from you. I could successfully install mini commander. But cannot copy/move files between folders. The 'moving 1 file...' message appears for sometime , then it says 'insufficient disk space'.(I had enough memory in phone). Cannot move file even from my photos to favourite images. Moving files between folders is the main task that I consider useful. Other functions, we can perform easily without opening java apps.
Is there any specific manner of doing file copy? I do it as follows: Press left soft key to go to the right pannel. Select the folder, into which file is to be moved. OPEN that folder. Come back to left pannel pressing LSK again. Open a folder and scroll to the required file. Press 0 to select. Press 6 to move. A confirmation question appears. I press LSK to confirm(OK). Then it shows moving... and finally insufficient disk space.
I tried this with both verions. As you suggested, version 3 is a bit slow too.
As we already know file system in samsung phones does not offer much freedom. However I've been trying to find out a suitable file explorer with which an image can be moved from images folders to 'other files'. If this becomes possible, then it will be a great step in increasing the usability of D900. Because, then one can zoom/view full screen etc with any image without transferring from computer. (tip of my guide http://www.4shared.com/file/17666838/f607f4d/D900-TIPSTRICKS2.html ). Applications like 'moby explorer' doesn't work in this phone. (I'm not sure whether this phone has JSR 75)

Jamaican Yute ;
Opera mini 4 is not working properly with my D900 also. Now you go to java games list and DELETE operamini, just installed. Then go to operamini.com again, and this time select 'TRY THE OLD OPERA MINI 3', on the next page, select 'download operamini'. This will install operamini 3.1.2. That's enough- I'm still using 3.1.2. Version 4 only contains some modifications.
