you can use full songs as ring tones, they have to be copied to the phones folder not ur mem card
i got a 2gig card in mine works fine, phone does not slow down with memory cards, full memory unlike other fones (ie sony)
YOU CANNOT ADD CUSTOM MESSAGE TONES, and the message tones on this sound like sh it, also putting java games on it is very very hard to do, and I have never sucessefully accomplished it.
phone is very thin, key pad scratchs very easily, and takes a while to get use to. 6230 has a nicer keypad. and d600s as well.
phone feels cheap, and looks like it was made out of cheap plastic. depending where you buy it from around the world, the samsung logo is a bit different in size. phones from Australia/NZ have a smaller samsung logo and darker red and green buttons on it than chinese model.
the smoothness of sliding varies from model to model, samsung has not built every model as well as others, iv used about four d900s and i was fortuantate to recieve one where the slide is very smooth.
wap is very fast, but the ok button which is right in the middle of the d pad will only take u there and you will always hit it by accident.

file manager is annoying and is not logical. it seperates the file system by five different folders, sounds music images and photos and other files
you need to store your files in each, it wont let you (on the phone) store music in the images folder for instance.
on the memory card how ever you can do as you please. THE PHONE WILL NOT READ MP3 tags, the phone will not allow more than 30 songs per a playlist and no more than 4 play lists.
if you do not create a playlist you can not simply press down while playing a song in a folder to go to the next song.
you can only edit images which you have taken a photo of and they must be on the phone.
you can not zoom in on images which are not stored in other files or images files. if you upload a picture on the phone it will go in the downloaded virtual sub folder of the phone, and you will not be able to zoom in on it.
calendar is quite good, synchronisation with outlook works, customisable and has a range of views
no country at the present time provides the multimedia cable (rca adaptor) to view on tv the screen, you have to buy this extra.
phone has two skins, light and dark.
phone is very fast and responsive
wallpapers can be set and transparencies in menus can be customised, as well as times when backlight should turn on or off on the keypad, whether the screen should stay on whilst charging
the screen will not stay on during standby.
you can hold on the volume key (either) for two seconds and the time and date, and notice of messages and phone calls will come up.
loud speaker is not accessible you have to press the ok button during a call, then press yes on the softkeys to activate it, the person on the other end can actually hear you pressing the buttons
there is only one speaker for both music and calls which is high quality but isnt loud enough.
you can not have the phone VIBRATE AND RING at the same time on message tones, which is extreemly annoying.
the back of the phone is scratch resistant
the screen isnt, buy a screen protector, if you buy a screen protector you don't have to also constantly clean the screen from finger marks.
sent items for text messages do not work, sent items only work for mms items.
mms settings are highly customisable and can be different from wap/gprs settings
it is quad band, and you can select the range you would like to use through settings
very fast internet on it
you can select the phone to act as when connected to a usb (the phone will also charge when connected through usb) as a USB mass storage device (appears as a removable drive, flash drive or usb drive on the computer) as a modem and as a pictbridge.
memory card is hot swappable and has no problem swapping
copying from memory card to phone and vice a versa is extreemly slow

i've D900, but it doesn't support german language as phone language.
Can any one help me how to solve this, how can i run my phone in german?

Hi All
Can anyone help me with the bluetooth problem. I had this phone for almost a year and I really love it. But now I was having a problem that I cant solve. Can someone help me out.
My bluetooth is not working now, when I go to activation then the on option is always highlighted. I was try to switch to "off" option but whenever I click on off then my phone keep freezing so I have to turn if off all the time. So can anyone help me fix the bluetooth problem....thanks a bunch...

Question:
does it really takes 3 secons to make a photo?
or is this only in auto-focus mode?
I really like this phone ,specially because of its 3 megapixel camera and the price (in Holland just 243 euro`s=D)

BEHNAM; you are right, Behnam. It may be a pity. But photos taken by its camera can easily be moved back to phone memory. So only downloaded images remain. 60Mb is not too bad. If you consider 300kb for an average photo, almost 200 photos......you may need more.
Anyway, I never felt it a big defect because ZOOMING PICTURES is not the main purpose, I use this for. I have business in it. It is EDGE class10 and operamini ver.3.1 performs best with it. I use this more often than pc for internet surfing. I send and recieve e-mails from 3 different accounts using this phone. I love music - with the headset, it is an excellent music player etc etc.
I advise you not to purchase this, as many other models are available which you can use to zoom a memory card full of photos!! (Though you may need to hire a wagon to carry most of them with you :-D engineering doesn't seem to have grown up advanced in nok's and SE'S to design a compact phone?
