Hi all,

I read that this phone only support up to 2GB micro SD. But has anyone tried with a bigger capacity card? Say 4GB or 8GB?

I'm planning to buy this phone anytime now. But I cannot survive with only 2GB card. I need at least 4GB for my music storage. Hmm...it got me thinking - either D980 or C5212...sigh!

I bought this phone about 3 months ago. The handset has a built in answering machine. Despite my answer phone service being deactivated with my network provider, all calls are being diverted the handset's voice mailbox, if not answered. The problem is two fold:

1 - There is no voice mailbox on the menu, any where. The new voice message icon keeps appearing on my home screen, but I cannot access the mailbox in order to retrieve these messages. The phone's user manual is useless on this point as it makes no reference whatsoever to voice mail. There is only a " voice mail number" section, in the "messages" folder in "application settings" - but all that allows you to do is edit your voice mail box number, which isn't there to begin with as my voice mail service is deactivated with my provider.

2 - The more irritating factor is if an unanswered call goes to voice mail, it will not appear in my call log as a missed call nor as a received call - just not be logged at all. The only way I can find out who called me is by accessing the voice mail which leads me back to problem number 1.

Any advice on both issues will be most appreciated. As I said I found the user manual appalling in reference to this point.

                Thank you in advance

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2009Very poor manual and zero post servicing in the US. Samsun... moreof course, that is correct, because this phone is not a US handset. Samsung US will only support the Samsung US handset. This phone is not for samsung US, if you bought this in the states, you better ask the seller where he got the phone, then u can call the tech support for assistance there.

Very poor manual and zero post servicing in the US. Samsung US sends you to Samsung UK, who doesnt want to service as you are not a UK resident. I "bloody" nightmare (excuse the pun). Phone books of both SIM cards are merged, languages besides English, are Thai, Malai and Japanese. No way of getting French or Spanish. Plus, nobody from Samsung to help. They took the money and ran back to Korea. Unless you are a techy, I would run from this phone.

This mobile is excellent for me. I like the features except only one thing, its battery life. After only a month of using it, I used to charged it almost everyday. One thing good is at least it has spare battery and you have to replace the battery everyday.

i sold my nokia n5730 mx to have this since im having 2 simcards w/ different networks. its inconvenient to bring 2 cp's always.

after using 24 hours, i can say its quite perfect. dual sim, touchscreen, 5 megapix, mp3, high mem, convenient shortcuts on the screen. but since im used to typing small letters on nokia cp's, the size of the font is the only thing that i don't like. too big. plus it is only a 3 liner on the type messages screen. AND IT LACKS WIFI. that's it.

Need your help! I can't edit edit (rotate) pictures taken by D980 on my PC, as program says that they are read protected, although file properties don't have read protection box ticked. Even if I want to save it with a different name - it won't allow me to do that. Anyone here knows how to fix this? Thanks!
