I got my D980 last week. I am very satisfied: 2 sims working simultaneously and easily switchable; touchscreen; easily navigated; acceptable battery life. One thing I haven't figured out yet, though this is true of the two other Samsung dual sim models my family owns, is that I can't seem to receive business cards. Anyone who has a solution to this problem?

Anonymous, 07 May 2009D980 design is good enough but it's gonna be better if it h... moreYou dont have to restart the phone to use the other sim.. you just have to push the button positioned at the left side of the phone to switch from one sim to another. its very easy and convenient. i've been using my d880 for almost 2yrs now and until now cant find a phone as useful and convenient. dont have to always carry 2 phones around. You can receive an sms from one one sim and you can easily use the other sim to reply or call back just by pushing the designated button.

Anonymous, 07 May 2009D980 design is good enough but it's gonna be better if it h... moreI have a d880 phone and just recently learned that you dont need to reboot it to to use your other sim to make calls. just press the button on the left that switches it to your primry sim when your in contacts. it will automatically switch you over to the sim you want to use for outgoing calls/txt.

it's very nice device,however, according to it's price and the available features on the other models, the wi-fi service is important , and the 3G or Gps too.
even if you raised its price quite more,it would be also the best cell phone in the market..

Since it's a Dual Sim Card phone, we can easily guess that it is a business phone. But of course, it doesn't worth to switch from the 880 to the 980 just to be able to dial at same time. Since it's a business phone, where is Outlook???!!! and it doesn't support 3G yet!

Yes, they can and the telephone is the best phone for that price! Even it doesnt have wirelles, stereo speaker and some other things. It is very easy for use. Until D980 I have Nokia N95, but this phone is for people who need 2 sim cards bets solutions!

I want to buy Samsung phone now. And I interested in D980. But I have two questions. Does D980 have music speaker seperated from ear-piece? Standby time and take time? Please reply to hay_khm@yahoo.com

D980 design is good enough but it's gonna be better if it has Stereo Speakers seperated from ear-piece and have A-GPS, FM transmitter and battery longer life. And I have one question, can both SIM work at the same time? I mean that I can call out immediately without Restarting as D880. Please reply answer to me by hay_khm@yahoo.com

I used Samsung A200 the battery is goog but when I changed to D980 every thing is ok but i'm not much satisfy with the battery not so long used.

I bought D980 dual sim and need one more but now change mine because About a month later flash camera not works, I never drop or knock with other things. I used Samsung product a lot but I think battery quality not good nearly of all. I always asked myself How about Samsung qualily?
Why doesn't have speaker ring tone (back side) all Samsung phones (D980)?

The previous dual sim phone from Samsung the D880 had a problem with Optus sim cards - they killed the phone and you had to get a code to reset it and never use the Optus card. Is the D980 OK with Optus cards?
