shashi, 20 Sep 2013There is no such thing as set as ringtone in option menu????? Dear frnd, I have cross checked and confirming it again that you can set a song from memory card as ring-tone. My phone is 1282t duos and its date of manufacture is Aug 2013.

samsung is really improved in 4 years this is a nice basic phone with good features in it but in 1 month i faced a problem i sent msg and it delivers to person next day and the last name of your call list is shown in inbox msg's

it cant be done in this phone particulary as it is not like other samsung mobiles

I bought this mobile phone a week ago after using Samsung S duos for a year
It's a wonderful basic mobile just for calling, radio and mp3 player
Its battery can last for more than a week

Hello everybuddy, This is the best phone that I had come across till date, I have htc desire hd and previously I had wild fire from the htc family and nokia etc, the only thing is the reception is not so strong inside buildings apart from that this is the best phone to go for. sound quality is suberb no voice leakage unlike other nokia phones. Its a very good looking phone.

advantages: 1000 contacts, 2 sim, bt, java. fast charge - 2-3 hours, long work with battery - 5 days while 2-10 minutes of talking per day. this is cheapest phone with 1000 contacts i have found in internet.
disadvantages: vnt file (note) 192 byte long (and longer and may be shorter) cannot be imported. also cannot use txt file instead of it. long contact names are truncated. call log is very small - 30 for all of missed, received, dialed. i had most old entry of 20 days old. but right now, i see call log is empty - because of i turned it off and on or because my sim-card stoppped working now. apparently it saved call log in sim card.
tip/hint/advice: to import multiple vcf files through bluetooth use "authorise device". blocks keypad after 10 seconds of no pressing, for tuning - back light time parameter. this turns off energy saving mode and brightness increases, but it can be decreased.
