marcus, 01 Jul 2009You shouldn't be commenting on a phone that you have never ... moredude i myself had purchsed this phone from india, more precisely from faridabad from shop mobile planet. it was worth worth 2300Rs.
i purchsed it, switched it one, and found no gprs. the shopkeeper aggered to pay me back the whole sum.
buy the way i purchsed SAMSUNG E1310. there was no s or b or f** written on it. (and niether does on this page, so m talking abt ony E1310)
and as far as texting is concered, its far too slow then nokia, compare it to any low or high end nokia or as a matter of fact sony erricson fones.
the words appear after a small delay.
that is why it does not suite me or any other heavy texter.
options like dictionary arey not most likley used by most of us.

                NO BROWSER

the flaps' not good enough, luckily i got my whole of the amt (that i had paid (2300INR delhi)) back as the shopkeeper claimed that it had a gprs. and there was no gprs...

I am Reshmi from calcutta, recently I buy samsung guru 1310S, it is a nice phone, if any body want to buy a basic phone, then must go for it, there are no bluetooth, infrared, usb and GPRS also. But nice F.M present. The hand set available with 3 colours i.e red, black and offwhite. Battery backup good.

The Samsung E1310B available for the Vodafone network in New Zealand does do Bluetooth, I just tested and confirmed it. It's there, it works. The other models (E1310S, and possible others) I don't know about. The "B" at the end of E1310B likely denotes that that version has bluetooth, so the one ending in "S" may not, but that's just me speculating.

Prashant, 27 Jun 2009(i havnt purchased it yet but m thinking to get this 1 in ... moreYou shouldn't be commenting on a phone that you have never used. As someone who's owned this phone for a little over a week now, and have owned and used a wide variety of phones I have to say this phone is by far the easiest phone to text with that I have ever used. The inbuilt dictionary isn't bad, and seems to have enough storage set aside for it, so it's not forgetting dictionary words (unlike the very low end Nokias). The only weird thing I found (and this may be true of all Samsungs, not sure) the * button switches between typing modes (predictive text, manual, manual caps, etc) rather then being "next word" (predictive) or "symbols menu" rather then being the space bar, the 0 button is next word for predictive text, and the star button is the space bar. Isn't what I'm used to, and isn't necessarily worse, just different. Took all of 5 minutes to get used to. The menu options and buttons all do what you actually want them to do for texting, which was very surprising, it's very quick and easy to text because of this. The buttons have great tactile feedback.

                      10/10 for texting here.

(i havnt purchased it yet but m thinking to get this 1 in a week or so)
i best suited for 1, who is searching for a phone just meant to talk.
for texting and anyother and everyother thing is bad bad bad bad....
its just to show off nd talk-a-lot.
it suites me beacause i have a high end cellphone which completes my techno requirement and want another "tuccha" sa phone with great styling to just make calls..,,
texting is big problm in samsung, but if this phone give option for sending msgs through pc then its a gr8 deal..,,, (like the nokia provides pc solutions for sending and recieving msgs )

Good phone, shame when you receive a call on it that you cant see whos calling without answering the call. No option to accept/reject when a call comes through ....an accept call option shows for about a second when you flip it open then it just accepts the call.....Samsung you have stuffed up, what a shame because its a good cheapie!
