i own this phone a long time ago.yes,it has infrared,but for some strange reason,it only conects to other samsung phones,not to any other devices !!!

This phone is not even worth a dime, no video recorder, no MP3 player and no bluetooth. Also the ringtones are so low you will have way too many missed calls. Try the D500, D600, or the T809. I have used all three and they rock!!

This phone have infrared port but it doesn't work.Don't have mp3 and video.If the infrared port doesn't work and it is still there i say that s***s!!

this phone rulezz !!! but y is this a version where u cant send pics with infared, othr samsung got it y this one not? and y doesnt slide smoothly up? like the othr slide phones? but the typing is much easier then the d500, i garantie it ! phone rocks !

1. For the similar E635 model (USA only) since there's no other place here to post.
2. The T-Mobile E635 (HW version: 1.200, SW version: PE635.06, E635UVEF3) has a BIG problem - any picture message that is longer than one page will crash the phone during scrolling through to read it.
3. This problem was duplicated on my end on 4 new E635 phones sent to me by T-Mobile - all had the same FW/HW version.
4. You can easily duplicate this by simply creating a new 'picture message' on your phone. Enter only text for the 'subject' and 'message'. Make sure the 'message' is longer than one screenful. Save this message to the 'drafts' folder. Open this message on the phone to read the message body, scroll from top to bottom, bottom to top, and repeat until you see the phone lock up/freeze, reboot, and drop you back to the idle screen. (On short messages, you may have to scroll up and down 5-10x times before you encounter this. On longer messages sent from external email accounts to the phone, it'll happen on the first or second set.)
Both Samsung USA and T-Mobile as of this date (1/17/2006) have no idea what to do about this problem, have not 'heard' anything about it besides from me, and have no fix for it.

I'd love to hear from other E630/E635 users if they can duplicate this error. (No I'm not trying to cause trouble, just trying to see if I'm just 'unlucky' with four bad phones.)

Help please! I love this phone but I just dropped it on concrete and now two buttons don't work! My "up" navigational button (the one that correlates to the camara) and the functional key to the right of that (the one that clicks to open your phonebook) doesn't work anymore!. Is there any way I can fix this on my own? I'll take any suggestions!

Pretty cool number this phone is. Imean polyphonic tones compact design,and the green look on everyone who sees it has made my year! The only 'sucks'feature its got(or deoes'nt) is infra red They shuoldnt have put it there if it doesnt work!
I cant even get a cool screensaver I want from my nephews phone....
