with phones that dont have AIM, can you just d/l it on phones? so i was wondering if you can do it with this one..

    Hi me again, I forgot to ask when viewing your contacts can you choose how you want to view them ie. view sim card or view phone or view both and does it tell how much memory left in them? Also are you able to copy from one to the other? Does the phone have some normal ring tones as I prefer just the standard rings than all the fancy ones that usually are on the newer phones (ie songs). Many thanks for your thoughts.

      Hi everyone, I am thinking of buying this mobile in Auss (being discontinued now) and just want to know for sure if it has good ring tones and incoming text alert sounds which are nice and loud so you can hear when in your handbag, in shops or on noisy street etc? Also need to know if the it has good reception and people can hear you and visa versa. Also does this phone have a radio and loud speaker. Many thanks for your honest response(s) :-))

        I put a movie on this my phone yesterday(SMG E720)....It was so freakin hard i had to have like 6 programs running to do it + i needed to download a 3GP converter from download.com just to get it the right format....It was worth it thow....

          haha...good call jason. The first time i got it repaired it said that there was noisy RX/FX constantly what ever that means

              has the voice quality of the receiving and sending end of the calls improved? I know there was an issue before, has it been fixed?

                Jason your a fuking tool. I own a e720 and the sound quality is absalute crap! Ive had it repaired twice and its getting worse

                  I think this phone is great and fantastic looking however I am extremely careful with mine and it still messed up. Swithces off all the time and doesnt switch on in the morning sometimes even though the battery has some juice left. Bringing it into o2 to see what they can do about it. Otherwise a great looking and well featured phone.

                    I'd rather have this phone than a Samsung D500/D600, because the screen is protected in a clam-shell, whereas the D500/D600, the screens are massive and they are very fragile phones. Yeah they might look swish with its sliding thing and might have little more features than the E720 but for the price, its a risk if they should they break.

                    Ive had my E720 for a while now, its never let me down, ive dropped it a few times, put it in and out of my pocket umpteenth times and yet, not scratches on either the external and internal screens!

                    The sound quality is not at all bad! Don't listen to some other people, ive read lots of reviews saying that its not up to standard, that is total tosh. Those people saying that are obviously jealous of someone who had a E720 and are trying to get people to avoid it like the plague.
                    Sound is not a problem, yeah its not the clearest, but its a mobile phone... so expecting the crispest sound should not be a factor. I can hear people fine and ive even asked the people on the other end if they hear me and if i sould muffled. They said i sounded fine.
                    To me this is the best looking and easily acessible phone on the market. The buttons are perfect for texting, games, camera etc.
                    The camera is even good and the video is the best you can get on a phone. In fact this and the D600 both have the same video quality.
                    The Mp3s can be played aloud and the is sound a little tinny, but thats what is expected. Phones are not able to deliver alot of base as you would expect from a stereo. But it doesn't mean the sound isnt clear, infact using the ear-phones (that come with the phone) you are able to hear the current song in all its glory and the base is fine!
                    Take it from me, im honest with reviews... take it into account that i prefer clam-shells.

                    But you can't go wrong if you buy this phone. The cheapest i found it on pay as you go was at £125 from the Orange shop online. That is worth every penny and they were great service, got it within 4-5 days.

                      HOW TO PUT MUSIC ON THE PHONE
                      Steps:
                      1.Install that studio thing on your computer
                      2.Go into it
                      3.Up the top it should say tools click TOOLS
                      4.There will be a list,click file manager
                      5.A box will come up
                      6.Up the top left hand corner there will be choices of My Content,Down content,Music and Other
                      7.Click music
                      8.Down the left hand corner there will be files look threw all them to you find the one you want
                      9.Select the file
                      10.Right click on it
                      11.Then click send to phone

                            i just got the phone and i love it but i'm having some trouble uploading songs to the phone's mp3.. what is the 'Samsung PC Studio User's guide'? i only received the manual book and a 'Samsung PC Studio II 2.0' cd along with some phone accesories and i think i might be missing something. And i am also having some trouble with the USB. i don't seem to be able to do anything with it. Please help!

                              Hey! Got this fone for chrissy and i luv it!! Altho one problem does anyone know if for the message toen you can get it to vibrate and play the tone? Because the only options I have is tone, vibrate or off... thanx

                                Jane the charger will go green when the battery is fully charged, The battery symbol on the handset does not move as it is being charged so don't worry.

                                  I have had this handset for a few months on PAYT and it is the greatest handset I have had. The camera is good quality and the mp3 handset is great. There is soooo much on this handset. I work for vodafone and help with technical problems and I have not yet in the 8 mths i've been here had any calls regarding the E720. Well done Samsung... Keep up the great work.

                                    Hi
                                    I just bought a e720, i have nt used a samsung before so no sure abt this. When i plug in the charger thee is a red light in the charger which activates but the battery icon on the phone doesnt move it remians the same.. is it a problem or is usual way for samsungs to charge?

                                        Seeing a posting below about song not going into mp3. go to options on the song file and "add to playlist". ;)
