An OLED is a organic light-emitting diode its a thin-film light-emitting diode in which the emissive layer is an organic compound. These devices promise to be much cheaper to fabricate than traditional LEDs. When the emissive layer is polymeric, varying amounts of OLEDs can be deposited in arrays on a screen using simple "printing" methods to create a graphical colour display, for use as television screens, computer displays, portable system screens, and in advertising and information board applications.

To Denis: hey, im experiencing the same problem. When receiving msg's (SMS) the only the number appears, ie with the countrycode before it. But the contacts in the phone are with normal numbers, eg. 0404..etc. When I change the contact number to +61 the SMS numbers change to the contact names, but when that person calls, only their number shows up.. ie. 0404..etc. This problem is very annoying.

i am thinking about getting this phone, but i have a couple questions. where can i find pics or buy any other color than black, what kind of usb cable do i need to put mp3s and videos on my phone, how much would it cost/where can i get it?? also, does the radio/mp3 play on loudspeaker, headphones, or both? and one more: can you watch videos or look through pics on the outer display?? thanks post or email me an answer

Hey, I was just wondering if you can listen to the mp3s on the e730 with out the headphones plugged in? Like the sound just coming out of the phone...Please email me post me a answer.

when i recieve a msg from someone who i have their number locked into my phone, it doesnt tell me who is from only the number.Does anyone else have the prob.

Meary: The difference between matted and glossy is the glossy provides an extra shine. People say its an anti-bacterial cover making it glossy. *but i dont know*
People having trouble with software, the phone comes with software, also the samsung fun club websites provide some for free too.

I just got the E730. Looks good but I can't connect with my PDA via bluetooth. To connect to the phone with a USB cable, Do I need special software. Thanks

Is it possible to "back-up" contents of sim card? If so, using what software (and how can I get it) and "what" cable? Thanks! Also, "thanks" I now can use the loudspeaker function.

It DOES include a loudspeaker function, just press OK twice during a call and you'll see

Where I am getting my model from, I have no idea wether it's matt or gloss. It's an Australian website, so I'm guessing it's glossy from what you've said, that there aren't any matt versions in Australia...

PROS: The E730 replaces my D500 which had abruptly failed. Similar software but seems to be much faster. Ergonomica are great, easily fits into front pocket, belt holster not needed. Nice to not have an external antenna. Voice quality very good. Glad to have it. Samsung, you've mostly "nailed" it with this one.
CONS: Puzzled as to why Samsung dod not include "loud-speaker" function?
SUMMARY: Like all new editions, availability of additional batteries would be welcomed. Phone performance is awesome and had exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Samsung!

I just got my phone yesterday. I really like it except that I noticed that signal reception seems to be low. When I am at work, I have seem to have only one bar or none at all. When I was using my other phones before, it wasn't this bad.
Any suggestions?
