It claims to have built in handsfree. Is that speakerphone? I have the e730 and has yet to figure out how to use speakerphone if it has one. It does NOT HAVE speakerphone as far as I know. For those of you who said the phone comes with speakerphone, please show me how to activate it. Thanks.

    How many Mp3's can you have as a maximum? I know there is 92MB shared memory but if the song is an average of 3 mins each, how many can you store at once?

    I would also like to know where did you get your data cable from? what online store are there?

      i would jst wanna confirm whether the e730 has speakerphone ..or not..i know many have said there isn't but there are also those who says tht there is..if there is..how do i activate it..thank u for the info

        Got my E730 today. It's bad ass. too bad IT DOES NOT have SPEAKERPHONE. I use bluetooth. I also use a aftermarket bluetooth device to transfer pics,mp3's, everything from phone to computer, vice versa. video works great. I had a Nokia 7610 previously, transfered pics from the nokia over to e730 but it says it was not compatible. I have tzones in usa. you have to call cust. serv. so they can activate you mms and wap service.

          Well... only one week to go till i can upgrade my nokia 7250i to this sawsome phone.. As soon as i layed eyes it was love at first sight!haha! I have taken her for a lil test drive and its THE best phone ever to hit the mobile market.. Anyone who is thinking of getting this phone.. Buy it! Its loaded with sweet features and looks hot.. This phone is a must!! Can't wait till next thursday!!yeeeeeew! Peace out

            To the Dark Lord : ( & to other owners of this phone)

            Is the software more like the D500 where u can set password to SMS & Email so nobody can read the inbox, is there an SMS Barring, or is it more like E720 where those features are not present?

            Is the loudspeaker mono or stereo?does it sound good like the 6230 & Motorola E398 & D500 w/ soundmate?Does it hav special speaker or d sound just comes from d earpiece?

            Can the flashlight be activated by simply pressing an outside button like the E720?

                  I'm using USB for transfering mp3,pics,video,and other files from and to my phone
                  the phone is charging while conect to PC

                    Hi friends
                    E 730 is a beauty. I have been hooked to nokias for a long time but I had to switch just by the looks of this E 730, and whats more its loaded with functions.
                    Blue tooth works fine in transferring data to the phone, but I dont know how to transfer pictures taken by the phone in the computer.
                    Please help.
                    Somebody asked about its memory.........92 MB is quite ok.
                    About the photocall ID, it covers the outer LCD but not the inside screen....that is not fair.one has to see closely
                    messaging is good, keypad is lovely, very practical and easy to write, just as nokia
                    camera is nice, mp3 sound quality probably not as good as nokia 6230i
                    calender can be improved as in standard nokia phones
                    wall paper choice is limited
                    All in all I reckon 8/10, but a better buy than many new nokia models and motorola razr

                        as matt says, does e730 has the same open/close mechanism as e700?! coz my e700 is really annoying...

                        n jimmy n to41, r u guys transferring the mp3 n pictures with usb or bluetooth?

                          1. Is there Loudspeaker for MP3 & call? YES
                          2. How much time is the video recording? For as long as you have spare memory.
                          3. Memory..32mb? or 92mb? 92.
                          4. is it 1.3 megapixel or less? 1.3mp

                          As for caller id, not sure as i dont bother with it :D

                            To E730 Owners:-

                            Does the phone now display Caller ID pictures full screen? if yes, is it full screen on both the external and internal? Also, does the battery life improves after the first few charges?

                              hey alex, my friend walked into telstra today and saw the e730. the telstra girl told her optus wasn't getting it as they had bought all the e720s instead. but of course shes gonna say something like that coz shes trying to sell a telstra plan and not get ppl to go to optus. so i'll go ask optus if they are getting it, and when they are getting it. i guess based on what everyone else says on here it'll be in a month.
                              and bombay, get the e730, its hott and i reckon the look of the phone is the main thing

                                      Hey Peoples...

                                      I’ve found the overall review an comments made for the Samsung E730 very helpfully in making my decision to buy this phone,
                                      Though my one major concern is I have previously owned a Samsung E700 and have had a lot of problems with the opening and closing mechanism,

                                      I wish to know has their been a upgrade to compensate for past errors any help will be appreciated .. thank you

                                        Its best if you just buy a bluetooth USB port and than connect your phone to your computer via bluetooth. Using this i was able to transfer mp3s videos pictures and wallpapers back and forth. I would recommend using a bluetooth connection over the USB cable.
