This is an excellent phone!!! I have Sharp GX 30 and SE 910i but I have never seen a phone like Samsung E730 that small with all the applications that works perfectly.
No complain whatsoever .... well done Samsung!!!

I've had an E700 for 2yrs and only now I found a phone worthy of replacing it IMO! This E730 rocks and really tempts me. Quick question though please:
The VOICE MEMO FUNCTION: can it be activated during a call to record it, AND/OR in stand-by closed phone mode to initiate the recorder going, may be by holding down a key.
The above functions woould be VERY important to me.

I have this phone one week and I can say only that this phone is realy nice. Sound of MP3 is good, only battery is not so good.

I saw the manual of E730, but I have not found anything about USB transfer. Do you transfer your data via Bluetooth only? Is there a USB line conect pE730 with PC?

Thanks DmSam - the Ok/i button in the middle of the direction pad triggers the in-call speakerphone.
Thanks to4i but page 42 is about the FM/MP3 loudspeaker, not the in-call speakerphone.
Final question - anyone know how to remove the stupid start-up Samsung Fun Club/www.samsungmobile.com graphics/clip? I've cleared the welcome text but think the "Fun Club" is a little childish.

it depends from where you're getting the phone, sometime they give you a data cabel sometime they don't

This phone does have speakerphone, when you are making a call just click the middle button where the internet is and it will give you a yes/no option. The MP3 player automatically will use speaker if the headset is not plugged in, the FM radio only works with the headset in. Mine didnt come with the USB cable, i got the black matte version, it is very nice...

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to get your hands on a decent headset for samsung E730. THe headset in the package is crap, I find it strange that Samsung can not produce a decent headset when then have features like MP3 and FM radio and when most of there competitors have much better headset. I really want a necklage headset similar to the ones nokia makes, but the only one samsung make is the one where you has to have you phone haging on you cheast.... I want the phone in my pocket. Does anybody know if it is possible to buy a decent necklagde heaset for E730 where you do not need to have you phone dagling around you neck?

In europe it costs smth like 400 Euro, but you can find it for 330Euro like most of the countries. I found also 280Euro from China and 270Euro (319$) from Usa.
I think it's the ONE... it has almost everything ;) Really nice GSM Hope to get one soon.

this phone is awesome, it's basically a D500 in a flip with a FM radio, it's easy to use, and it got everything you want in it......

Hey does anyone know how come when i make a phone call with this phone it will show a message saying "not allowed"? the werid thing is that it would still make the call without any problem.... How do i make that message disappear when i am making a call.. Please Help!!!!!
