The E730 is available in Australia exclusively through Telstra until the end of August, after which it will be widely available. At the moment, it is available for purchase on Fone Zone's plan or as an outright handset. So far, it seems like only the glossy black will be available.. if the silver was also released then we would have a choice :) however based on past experiences, Samsung only releases one colour variant in Australia for the life of the model... or maybe this will be the first. we'll have to wait and see!! cheers!
btw, i heard that the battery life will only be at its best after 3-4 full discharge/recharge cycles.. is this true?? maybe that's why the battery seems pretty lousy when u guys first charge it up? pls reply in this forum. thx!

i was wondering if any one knows how to get real tones on the samsung e730, as it will not accept them from most wap sites and if people send them to the phone !!!!!????

this is a good phone..has mp3 radio video and everything but the bad part is that the speaker is not that good and u cant have mp3 ringtones as sms...but everything else is great..nokia needs to come out wit a fone like this

It all comes down to your budget. If you can afford to buy D500 then go ahead.
For me though I have my SE P910i and bought another phone Samsung E730 I couldn't be happier. It's not costly and it meets all my requirements. I am not after for the "looks" but what it can do for me.

Important Question/Problem :
I already searched the whole but I couldn't find anything till now ...
I hate it , that the E730 doesn't show a symbol or anything for missed calls on the frontdisplay ! Can I fix that ? I wanna see it without having to touch my E730 ...
Can anybody help me

Does anyone know where I can buy an accessories for this phone E730?
I am interested to buy a desktop charger that recharge the battery by itself not together with the phone. Likewise, a spare battery .... does anyone where I can buy them?

No this phone will not work with sprint....
to bombay I just had the black moto V3 and it does not compare to this phone at all...

This is a great phone! The only disadvantage of this phone - you can't apply the M3 music to your alert tones such as "SMS", "MMS" and "Email". But everything works perfectly.
I am surprise that Samsung is not as costly compared to other brand like the Nokia, Motorola and SE.
Great job Samsung! Keep up the good work!

Love it! I brought it yesterday and I've already uploaded all my preferences onto it. The mp3 feature is wonderful and you a good amount of songs to last you a small trip - in my case, a 9 minute train ride to and from school.
My favourite feature is the camcorder video mode. The video and camera pixel quality is really good to what I've seen from other phone cameras.
The only thing I don't like is that I wish the silver was out when I got it and I dislike how you can't change the sms ringtone to something unique like you can with the phone call ringtone. You have about 8 to picture from with sms.
The software is easy to work once you figure out what to do with it. The games are good. Great looking phone - I love how the time and date is displayed.
So to sum things up - great phone.

ok...the voice memo or dictaphone CANT AND REPEAT CANNOT be used during phone calls.
i know
i thinks its the only dowside to this phone
