can any1 tell me if the audio quality is better here or in the e720?
and i heard that this is one of samsung's phones that doesnt have a serive LED light...can any1 confirm that

i can help ya there
the d500 and e730 are very similar
there are only 2 differences:
1.d500 is a slide and e730 is a flip
2.d500 has an infrared port but no radio...while the e730 has no infrared port but it has an infrared port.

One more time : The Phone , they sent out here in Germany has one ringtone included in the phone , which vibrates and rings at the same time .
If you don't like this one or want your own personalized ringtone , you need to get a program to change mp3 or midi Files into mmf-Files . Just try Google , I don't know the name of the program right now ...

Vibrate and Music.
To everyone that keeps wondering about if the E730 will vibrate and play music at the same time. I have the E715 and this is what I know.
1. For the ringtones that is in the phone no it will not
2. Can it be done yes.
3. Samsung has software that you can download that can make this happen. I believe it is called Easy Gprs.I'm pretty sure this software is still available, and I think it might have been upgraded as weill
I had downloaded this software for my phone(E715) and you can customize ringtones to do to just that, and some of the ringtones that come with software also does that.
So yes it can be done, you will just need to get the software to do so. You can go to www.Samsung.com to download the software.

Sound Quality!! I need a little input.. I am interested in buying the E720 or the E730 phone. The only thing different that I noticed about the two phones is that the e730 has an FM Radio(nice but not worth buying yet. My main thing in a phone is quality. Right now I have the E715 great phone, love the design. It looks like the E720 and E730 does not have a Service Light, which I like very much because it lights up to the sound of the ringtone on the E715. The one thing that will make me purchase an E730 is the sound quality. I was reading the reviews about the E720 and everyone said the sound quality is not that great. Does anyone have any input on the sound quality?? This answer will very well reflect which phone I will buy. I need an answer today if possible

The E730 is out in Australia. Over the weekend I saw it in Sydney @ Fone Zone for $729 outright.
Telstra has it exclusively for the 1st month and then its in general release (around 2nd week of August).

Another thing is the phone WILL vibrate and ring at the same time if you have a decent mmf ringtone with vibration built in. My D500 worked like that and my E730 also does. It wont work with mp3 ringtones. Works well for me.

ok...any 1 who has questions with this phone's vibrations...let me clear it up
ever since the v200(or maybe even before) samsung's ringing and vibrating style has been the same.
u have:
VIBRATION: it just vibrates continuously until u answer
MELODY(it may say RING in some models):it just rings on and on with no vibration.
VIBRA AND MELODY(or VIBE AND/THEN RING): it makes about 3 or 4 vibrations and then it stops vibrating and then it rings on and on.
LIGHT ONLY: cant remember how this goes ^_^...but i'm sure that the above clears up whats needed

To Kris, compared to other phones the main display is quite large being 1.73inches by 2.71
