I brought this phone in black a few days ago and it is amazing! The music player is very similar to an iPod. The camera is good but its a shame it doesn't have flash. The scroll wheel is excellent! They should have them on more phones.
In conclusion it's worth buying! Only £70 exclusive to T-Mobile (UK) and you get a fair bit in the box as well..... 9/10

To get the camera pictures and videos onto the computer you need to install the software disc it comes with, then the computer should detect the usb hardware and install it self then when opening the software (the samsung logo on the desktop) go to file then connection, then onnect to the software then go to file manager and then you should be able to go to pictures and videos, then highliht them and drag them into a folder or the desktop and then that should be it...hope this helps you.

It plays mp4 videos only converted by A-one ipod video converter.

Can anybody tell me why samsung e-740 does not play mp4 format??
I posses full version of 3gp converter but clarity clearly lacks in that... I use USB to transfer videos into my mobile.... Plase mail me the reason or (if possible)the solution to my problem..... Thnks

please could u help me my boyfriend bought me the samsung e740 for my birthday and i luv this phone very much i find it easy to use but ive took some photos with it and i dont no how to get them on to my pc so that i can print them up ,when i put a usb port data cable on the phone into the back on my tower it doesnt come up found new hardware i hope u can help me sort out this problem thank you .

Here's is one tip for E-740 users...when ur watching video, press #(key) so that u can watch the video in Full Screen Mode.try it once.

i but got E740 last month.I haw to say this it had a very good cam&pic clarity .But I still don't know how to install Java applications in it..

This phone is very good,specially scroll wheel is too sexy to use.For me this phone is better then samsung D840 which is more expensive.Infact I use both the phones.

well.....i agree..its a girlish fone....bt itz awesome.....a true user's delight....its delicate,sexy looks,awesum picture quality n sound is also good..2 learn d operations u need 2 put in sm time wid d fone..bt seriously t rocks..d battery backup iz a lil bit of a prob though..bt d fone is "worth a buy"..

why is it that my newly bought phone runs only roughly two days on normal operation. I mean if i used my other nokia phone with the same usage, they last for 3 to 4 days. Is this normal for samsung phones, shorter battery life?

can the readers plz tell me the following:-
1. can i connect the phone to my pc with usb port to transfer the mp3 songs and mpg vedios directly??
2. is the battery backup lower than the nokia phones..???
3. can i play the songs in backgound while doing other things on it??
i vil be highly obilized if someone lets me know the above things....

Can this mobile can play music and radio in the background unlike the other samsung mobiles.....also will it allow landscape view(fullscreen) of videos????
